This role is a crucial part of our mission to scale, innovate, and grow as a purpose-led learning technology business.\n\nResponsibilities and Duties\nPartnering with Product Managers and stakeholders to define, prioritize, and deliver technical solutions.\nWriting clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets agreed standards.\nConducting and promoting high-quality code reviews to ensure reliability and consistency.\nCollaborating across functions—UX, QA, Product, Engineering—to design and deliver user-centered features.\nProviding transparent updates on engineering progress, risks, and key milestones.\nMaintaining up-to-date technical documentation.\nCoaching and mentoring engineers at all levels.\nKeeping informed of emerging trends in software engineering and identifying relevant opportunities.\nInfluencing architectural decisions and shaping the evolving product landscape.\n\nKvalifikacijeProven experience: At least 5 years of experience building high-quality, production-ready software.\nExpert technical skills: Strong proficiency in backend development with expertise in Ruby on Rails. Experience with React and TypeScript is a plus.\nStrong foundational knowledge: Expertise in relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL. Hands-on experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines is essential. A good understanding of distributed systems and REST API design principles is also required.\nProject ownership: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive impactful outcomes.\nTechnical leadership: Demonstrated success working in Agile environments and delivering scalable software. The ability to mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions is also key.\nClear communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including stakeholder engagement.
