The Group reported 2024 global revenues of €22.1 billion.\n Job Description:\nThe Embedded Automotive Senior Backend Engineer (Java) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, cloud-native backend solutions that power next-generation automotive platforms and connected vehicle ecosystems. The role combines deep expertise in Java development, distributed systems, microservices architecture, cloud technologies, and data-driven solutions to deliver high-quality, secure, and high-performance applications.\n Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services.\nBuild and optimize microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and CQRS-based solutions.\nDevelop scalable data processing solutions leveraging Big Data and stream processing technologies.\nImplement and manage integration with message brokers such as Kafka.\nDesign and maintain RESTful APIs while ensuring security through OAuth2 authentication and authorization mechanisms (Keycloak).\nDevelop and optimize data storage solutions using relational and NoSQL databases, including BigQuery.\nDeploy, monitor, and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform, leveraging GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.\nCollaborate with DevOps teams using Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jira, Docker, and Kubernetes to enable CI/CD best practices.\nLead technical discussions, mentor junior developers, and contribute to software architecture decisions.\nEnsure code quality through testing, code reviews, documentation, and adherence to software engineering best practices.\n Experience & Qualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.\nMinimum 3 years of experience in software development.\nMinimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Java development.\nFluency in written and spoken English.\nStrong experience designing and developing microservices, distributed systems, event-sourced systems, and CQRS architectures.\nHands-on experience with Java 21 and Python.\nExperience working with Big Data architectures, stream processing systems, and Kafka.\nStrong understanding of software design patterns, programming methodologies, and algorithms.\nExperience with Google Cloud Platform (GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL).\nKnowledge of OAuth2 authentication and authorization frameworks, preferably Keycloak.\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, Bitbucket, Bamboo,
