Where no two days are the same.\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for an EPB System Development Engineer to lead the development of the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) system throughout the entire product lifecycle, from RFQ phase to serial production. The successful candidate will be responsible for supplier management, system validation, software integration, and cross-functional coordination to ensure project delivery in compliance with technical, quality, cost, and timing objectives.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the end-to-end development of the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) system from RFQ to serial life.\nManage the technical activities of suppliers responsible for the Motor Gear Unit (MGU) and EPB software.\nEnsure compliance with project milestones, development schedules, and technical deliverables.\nCoordinate activities across multidisciplinary teams, including systems, validation, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers.\nMonitor software releases and verify compliance with functional and project requirements.\nLead validation activities and analyze test results performed by internal teams and suppliers.\nReview and approve test reports, identify deviations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed.\nAnalyze issues identified during vehicle, bench, and laboratory testing.\nDrive corrective action plans and ensure their integration into subsequent software releases.\nEnsure the robustness, reliability, and performance of EPB functions throughout the development lifecycle.\nMonitor product and process maturity in accordance with APQP standards.\nSupport engineering change management activities and implementation within the PLM environment.\nEnsure alignment with the Hardware Lead (calipers) by securing technical interfaces and development milestones between EPB actuators, calipers, and software.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field.\nExperience in automotive system development, preferably in braking, chassis, or embedded systems.\nStrong project management and supplier management skills.\nGood understanding of automotive development processes and validation activities.\nFamiliarity with APQP methodologies and product development lifecycles.\nExperience in issue analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective action management.\nKnowledge of PLM tools and engineering change management processes.\nExcellent communication and coordination skills in a multicultural environment.\nFluent in English.\nSkills\nKnowledge of EPB, ESP, braking systems, and vehicle dynamics.\nExperience with software and hardware integration in automotive environments.\nUnderstanding of automotive quality standards and supplier development processes.\nCapgemini is a global business and technology transformation partner, helping organizations to accelerate their dual transition to a digital and sustainable world, while creating tangible impact for enterprises and society.
