Capgemini is a French information technology services and consulting group founded in Grenoble in 1967 by Serge Kampf, and one of the largest IT service providers in the world. It designs, builds and runs systems for large enterprises and governments across some fifty countries, with a delivery workforce concentrated in India and a European client base heavier than most of its competitors. The group is organised into Capgemini Invent for strategy and design, Capgemini Engineering for research and development services acquired with Altran, and Sogeti for local technology services, and it has reoriented its portfolio around cloud migration, data platforms and generative AI.

At Capgemini Invent, we believe difference drives change. As inventive transformation consultants, we blend our strategic, creative and scientific capabilities, collaborating closely with clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Join us to drive transformation tailored to our clients’ challenges of today and tomorrow. Informed and validated by science and data. Superpowered by creativity and design. All underpinned by technology created with purpose.

About the Job You’re Considering

As AI reshapes how organizations operate, compete, and create value, we are evolving our consulting model to be AI-enabled by design, augmenting human judgment with analytics, automation, and generative AI. Our teams are looking for professionals who are not only strong problem solvers, but who are excited to work differently in an AI-first world: curious, adaptable, and ready to help clients reimagine how products, services, and experiences are designed.

Joining frog means becoming part of “the pond,” a global network of studios whose people are curious, collaborative, and courageous, united by a passion for improving the human experience through design. At our San Francisco and New York studios, you will work alongside designers, strategists, technologists, and researchers to solve complex challenges and create innovative, sustainable solutions that move markets and connect with people.

As part of Capgemini Invent, frog combines diverse skills across design, strategy, technology, and data to unleash growth, build superior experiences, and create lasting impact at scale. Our culture prizes craft, curiosity, community, performance, and outcomes, providing the freedom to make a meaningful contribution through client work, within the studio, and across the broader design community.

Your Role

As a Senior Interaction Designer at frog, you will shape digital products and services from early-stage concepts through detailed design and implementation. You will bring a broad skill set across interaction, service, and visual design to develop holistic, human-centered solutions for clients across a range of industries. You will apply strategic thinking and design craft throughout the design process, moving between divergent exploration and convergent decision-making while using AI as a working partner. As a senior individual contributor, you will also mentor junior designers, contribute to frog’s global design community, lead client conversations within your domain, and help guide critical design decisions.

Depending on the engagement, you may lead small project teams and contribute to business development through proposal development and client pitches.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define opportunity areas and experience requirements based on a deep understanding of users’ needs, business objectives, constraints, and market context.

  • Adapt design approaches, methods, and levels of rigor to fit the needs of each client, project, industry, and delivery environment.

  • Lead client workshops and cross-disciplinary analysis to align stakeholders, deepen user understanding, and identify meaningful design opportunities.

  • Shape high-quality digital product and experience concepts in collaboration with strategy, research, technology, and other design partners.

  • Plan, conduct, and synthesize research, testing, and piloting activities with service users, providers, clients, and subject-matter experts.

  • Design wireframes, screens, interaction patterns, and prototypes, carrying defined experiences through detailed design across multiple service or product components.

  • Work effectively within established visual systems while ensuring consistency, usability, accessibility, and attention to design detail.

  • Use AI tools across research synthesis, ideation, concept development, testing, and prototyping, applying human judgment to evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs.

  • Communicate the story, rationale, and value of the work through compelling presentations, design narratives, and client recommendations.

  • Document product and service requirements, design specifications, interaction behaviors, and implementation guidelines.

  • Mentor and guide junior colleagues, contribute to frog’s design community of practice, and support the continued advancement of interaction-design craft.

  • Lead client conversations within the interaction-design domain and provide articulate, evidence-based recommendations that guide client decisions.

  • Contribute to proposal writing, pitches, and other business-development activities when required.

Your Skills + Experience

Application Requirement

As part of the application, candidates must include a link to or PDF of a recent portfolio demonstrating experience relevant to the role. The portfolio should provide specific examples of the candidate’s design approach, thought process, collaboration style, and contribution to successful design outcomes. Applications submitted without a portfolio cannot be accepted.

You are a human-centered, strategic designer who can move from early concepts through detailed execution. You bring strong interaction-design craft, curiosity, commercial awareness, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. You also use AI and GenAI tools to support research, ideation, testing, and prototyping, applying human judgment to refine outputs and create meaningful user experiences.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in interaction design or a related role, such as UX Designer or Product Designer.
  • Strong interaction-design skills demonstrated through a portfolio of recent work.
  • Experience developing digital-product concepts, interaction models, wireframes, screens, components, and prototypes.
  • Ability to move between strategic, conceptual thinking and high-quality detailed design.
  • Experience conducting and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative design research.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, particularly interaction logic, component design, and prototyping.
  • Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams as a senior contributor or experience-design lead.
  • Working knowledge of current AI and GenAI tools, with experience applying them to synthesis, ideation, testing, and prototyping.
  • Strong client-facing communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Strategic and commercial awareness, with the ability to connect design decisions to user needs and business outcomes.
  • Alignment with frog’s values and passion for creating products and experiences that address people’s functional and emotional needs.
  • Residency in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City area, with a willingness to travel for research, client meetings, and project delivery.

Preferred Experience:

  • Degree in Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related design or behavioral-science field.
  • Experience designing or prototyping GenAI-enabled products, including LLM-based products, agentic systems, multimodal interactions, or generative content capabilities.
  • Experience across start-up, corporate, agency, or consulting environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Lean, or Waterfall delivery methods.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices, tools, and standards.
  • Additional professional, academic, cultural, or language experience that brings a broader perspective to design.
