The ideal candidate will have expertise in backend development, cloud technologies, DevOps automation and application security, and will contribute to developing and maintaining applications whilst learning to integrate AI/ML components and handle data pipelines.\nResponsibilities\nTake full ownership of end-to-end application development, integrating frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.\nOptimize full-stack CI/CD deployment strategies, ensuring seamless and automated releases.\nCollaborate with data engineers to implement data pipeline solutions into production environments\nDevelop high-performance backend services and APIs, ensuring reliability, security, and observability.\nIdentify opportunities to leverage AI/ML technologies to optimise data pipeline solutions.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation\nSupport the testing and debugging of applications across different environments\nRequirements\nRequired skills\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field\nProficiency in Python and SQL\nExperience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines\nExperience working with database systems (SQL and NoSQL)\nKnowledge of RESTful APIs and web services\nFamiliarity with backend service scalability strategies (horizontal scaling, autoscaling, load balancing).\nBasic understanding of web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js for frontend; Django, Node.js, or Flask for backend)\nPreferred skills\nUnderstanding of data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy)\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)\nExperience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).\nFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform).\nKnowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration tools\nBasic understanding of data structures and algorithms\nFamiliar with AI/ML RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)\nLet's talk about what's in it for you!\nPassionate people are Capgemini's Ace of Spades - join us to discover a career that will challenge, support and inspire you.
