The role combines modern data engineering, ML/LLM integration, and domain-specific financial knowledge to deliver enterprise-grade AI platforms.\nYou will lead the development of data pipelines, vector databases, retrieval systems, and LLM-driven applications to solve use cases such as risk analytics, fraud detection, regulatory compliance, document intelligence, and customer insights\nHybrid working:\nThe places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and deploy end-to-end Generative AI solutions using LLMs, RAG architectures, and vector databases.\nBuild and optimize AI-driven applications for document intelligence, compliance automation, and conversational banking solutions.\nDevelop scalable data pipelines and lakehouse architectures using Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, and cloud-native services.\nIntegrate structured and unstructured data sources to support advanced analytics and AI use cases.\nDeploy, monitor, and manage AI/ML solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP using MLOps best practices.\nImplement CI/CD pipelines, model governance, monitoring, and lifecycle management for AI systems.\nCollaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver solutions across risk, compliance, trading, fraud detection, and portfolio analytics.\nEnsure adherence to regulatory, data privacy, and security standards including GDPR, AML, KYC, and financial services governance requirements.\nEstablish data governance, lineage, quality, and Responsible AI frameworks covering explainability, bias mitigation, and auditability.\nBuild and maintain APIs, microservices, and cloud-native platforms supporting enterprise AI applications.\nDrive technical architecture decisions, mentor engineering teams, and promote engineering best practices.\nEvaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance business outcomes in financial services.\nIdeal Candidate Profile\n7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, AI Engineering, or Machine Learning platforms.\nStrong expertise in Python, SQL, GenAI frameworks, cloud platforms, and distributed data processing.\nProven experience delivering AI/Data solutions within Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, FinTech, or regulated financial environments.\nExperience leading teams, mentoring engineers, and driving enterprise-scale technology initiatives.\nRequired Skills\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities. \nAbility to translate complex business requirements into scalable data and AI solutions. \nExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across business and technology teams. \nExperience collaborating in Agile/Scrum delivery environments. \nStrong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases. \nHands-on expertise in Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, Databricks, and cloud-native data platforms. \nExperience building and deploying APIs, microservices, and cloud-based AI applications. \nKnowledge of MLOps, CI/CD, model monitoring, governance, and Responsible AI practices. \nUnderstanding of financial services processes, regulatory requirements, and data privacy frameworks. \nExperience mentoring engineers, leading technical initiatives, and driving best practices across teams.\nWe are a Disability Confident Employer:\nCapgemini is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) under the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.
