Join us in helping build innovative embedded and electronics products by supporting hardware development, testing, and laboratory operations.\nYour Role\nAs an Electronics Hardware Lab Technician, you will be responsible for managing electronics laboratory operations, supporting prototype assembly and testing activities, and ensuring laboratory equipment and inventories are maintained efficiently. You will work closely with hardware, firmware, and validation teams throughout the product development lifecycle.\nIn this role, you will:\nManage and maintain hardware laboratory equipment, consumables, and prototype inventory, ensuring proper functionality, calibration, and readiness.\nSupport embedded product development and testing activities across hardware and software validation lifecycles.\nAssemble, modify, and rework electronic prototype boards and hardware assemblies.\nPerform Surface Mount Device (SMD) and through-hole soldering, component replacement, PCB rework, jumper wiring, and connector/harness cable building.\nAssist engineering teams in embedded testing, functional testing, troubleshooting, defect reporting, and validation activities.\nMaintain laboratory documentation, asset tracking, inventory records, and component management systems.\nOperate laboratory instruments including oscilloscopes (CRO), logic analyzers, digital multimeters, and bench power supplies.\nSupport board bring-up activities and basic hardware debugging.\nRead and interpret electronic schematics, PCB layouts, component datasheets, and fabrication outputs.\nYour Profile\n1+ years of experience working in an Electronics Hardware Laboratory.\nDiploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.\nStrong understanding of embedded systems, electronic circuits, microcontrollers, and product development lifecycles.\nHands-on experience in SMD and through-hole soldering, PCB rework, and hardware assembly.\nFamiliarity with hardware testing, troubleshooting, and validation processes.\nRequired Technical Skills\nHands-on experience with electronic hardware laboratory operations.\nPractical knowledge of SMD and through-hole soldering and PCB rework.\nUnderstanding of ICs, electronic circuits, and microcontrollers.\nAbility to read and understand electronic schematics, component datasheets, and PCB fabrication outputs.\nPractical knowledge of Board Support Package (BSP) extraction and board bring-up activities.\nUnderstanding of embedded systems and embedded software testing methodologies.\nBasic troubleshooting and hardware debugging expertise.\nTools & Technologies\nSoldering stations and PCB rework equipment.\nManual tools for connector cable and harness assembly.\nDigital Multimeters (DMM).\nOscilloscopes (CRO), Logic Analyzers, and Bench Power Supplies.\nPCB inspection, measurement, and debugging tools.\nAltium Designer (Optional).\nAbout Us\nCapgemini is a global business and technology transformation partner, helping organizations accelerate innovation and unlock business value through technology.
