The role will be responsible for eliciting, analysing, documenting, and managing business requirements while acting as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams\n\nHybrid working:\nThe places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.\n\nYour Role:\nWork closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.\nTranslate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, and solution specifications.\nFacilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and stakeholder discussions.\nCreate and maintain current-state and future-state business process models and workflows.\nCollaborate with solution architects, developers, testers, vendors, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful solution delivery.\nSupport API, system integration, data migration, and reporting initiatives by documenting requirements and validating outcomes.\nAnalyse data requirements, support data mapping activities, and assess downstream system impacts.\nAssist with test planning, test case reviews, UAT activities, defect analysis, and production readiness.\nSupport implementation planning, business readiness, and transition to production support teams.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process optimisation, and digital transformation programmes.\nYour Skills\nStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements discovery, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.\nExperience translating business requirements into clear functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and solution specifications.\nRunning basic API tests using tools such as Postman, including collections, responses, status codes, and defect support.\nBasic SQL/query knowledge for running simple queries, reviewing outputs, and supporting data validation.\nWorking knowledge of Agile delivery methods, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, user story grooming, defect triage, and UAT support.\nExperience with process modelling techniques such as current-state and future-state process maps, swimlane diagrams, use cases, and UML.\nStrong understanding of system integrations, data flows, APIs/interfaces, batch processes, and reporting/data requirements.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including advanced Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and requirements/ documentation repositories.\nFamiliarity with enterprise applications used in insurance, underwriting, finance, policy administration, data warehousing, ETL, and reporting environments\n\nWe are a Disability Confident Employer:\nCapgemini is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) under the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.
