The group is organised into Capgemini Invent for strategy and design, Capgemini Engineering for research and development services acquired with Altran, and Sogeti for local technology services, and it has reoriented its portfolio around cloud migration, data platforms and generative AI.

About the job you’re considering

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Capacity Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Capacity and Performance Management practice, ensuring that IT services, infrastructure, and supporting resources deliver agreed levels of performance in a cost-effective and sustainable manner. You will establish and maintain capacity management processes, monitor service and resource utilisation, produce forecasts and trend analysis, and collaborate with internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure future capacity requirements are identified and planned effectively.

You will play a key role in safeguarding service availability and performance, minimising the risk of capacity-related incidents, optimising investment in technology resources, and supporting the delivery of business and digital transformation initiatives.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

  • Develop, maintain, and implement Capacity Management policies, processes, standards, and reporting across the IT estate.
  • Analyse business, service, and component capacity requirements, ensuring sufficient resources are available to support current and anticipated demand.
  • Track and manage any issues & risks that are potentially due to capacity and manage the remediation plans with the customer and technical support teams.
  • Work closely with Service Owners, Architecture, Engineering, Operations, and suppliers to forecast demand and develop cost-effective capacity plans.
  • Monitor service performance and capacity thresholds, identifying trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Drive continual service improvement through proactive capacity planning, performance analysis, and recommendations that enhance service availability, reliability, and user experience

You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini, striving for equity, diversity and inclusion is part of everyday life, and will be part of your working reality. We have built an inclusive and welcoming environment, for everyone.

Your skills and experience

  • Proven experience in IT Service Management, with significant expertise in Capacity and Performance Management within complex enterprise IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL best practices, particularly Capacity and Performance Management, Service Level Management, Availability Management, and Continual Improvement, with ITIL Foundation certification essential.
  • Experience in capacity planning, performance monitoring, trend analysis, forecasting, and demand management, ensuring IT services and infrastructure can meet current and future business requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify capacity risks, performance bottlenecks, service constraints, and opportunities for optimisation across infrastructure, applications, and services.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, service owners, suppliers, and business stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience using ServiceNow and performance monitoring, reporting, and analytics tools to produce capacity reports, support decision-making, manage risks, and drive continual service improvement initiatives that enhance service performance, resilience, and resource utilisation.
  • Experience using tools utilised for monitoring capacity and familiarisation with network devices, virtualised and cloud platforms.
