Where no two days are the same.\nYOUR ROLE\nAs a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer, you will support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production installations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will combine hands-on technical support with a structural approach to improving maintenance strategies and asset performance across their full lifecycle.\nIn this role you will play a key role in:\nDeveloping, evaluating, and optimising preventive maintenance plans, maintenance tasks, and technical work instructions, ensuring alignment with equipment criticality and operational needs\nConducting and facilitating Root Cause Analyses (RCA) for equipment failures and recurring incidents, translating findings into concrete, preventive actions\nApplying risk-based methodologies such as FMEA and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) to proactively identify and address structural reliability risks\nAnalysing maintenance data, downtime records, and process information to identify improvement opportunities and drive data-informed decision-making\nSupporting multidisciplinary improvement projects from a maintainability, reliability, and lifecycle management perspective, contributing to technical justifications for equipment modifications or replacement investments\nCollaborating closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams, communicating clearly on technical risks, priorities, findings, and progress\nYOUR PROFILE\nWe are looking for a technically and analytically driven engineer who takes ownership of problems and follows them through to resolution. You are equally comfortable working independently and contributing within multidisciplinary teams.\nA bachelor's or master's degree in electromechanics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, process technology, or a related technical discipline - or equivalent through relevant experience\nAround 2 to 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or technical asset management, ideally within a pharmaceutical, chemical, or other process industry environment\nKnowledge of maintenance strategies, failure analysis techniques (RCA, FMEA, RCM), and equipment lifecycle management, with the ability to translate technical data into actionable recommendations\nExperience with a CMMS such as SAP PM, Maximo, or a comparable system, combined with good proficiency in Excel; experience with additional analysis tools is a plus\nStrong communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and spoken, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical specialists and non-technical stakeholders\nA proactive, structured mindset with the ability to balance day-to-day operational support with longer-term structural improvement initiatives\nGood mobility to the client located in Geel\nWhat You Will Love About Working Here\nHybrid working - We encourage flexibility when it comes to when and where work gets done.
