Where no two days are the same.\nJob Description\nYour Role:\nWe are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA) with 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration, PL/SQL development, database performance tuning, and database maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database availability, performance, security, and reliability across enterprise environments. The role requires strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration, PL/SQL programming, query optimization, backup and recovery, database monitoring, performance troubleshooting, patching, and production support. The candidate will work closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams to maintain stable and high-performing Oracle database environments.\nSupport Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Database environments.\nMonitor database health, performance, storage usage, and availability across Production, UAT, QA, and Development environments.\nDevelop, maintain, and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.\nPerform database performance tuning using AWR Reports, ASH Reports, Explain Plans, SQL Trace, and Oracle performance tools.\nTroubleshoot and resolve database issues related to locking, blocking, deadlocks, memory utilization, and query performance.\nImplement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.\nSupport database patching, upgrades, migrations, and database refresh activities.\nManage Oracle user accounts, roles, privileges, and database security controls.\nMonitor and maintain tablespaces, storage utilization, and database growth.\nPerform index analysis, SQL tuning, partitioning, and execution plan optimization.\nSupport production incidents, problem management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective Action Plans (CAP).\nAutomate routine DBA activities using Shell Scripts and PL/SQL.\nCollaborate with development and application teams to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.\nCreate and maintain database administration documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and recovery procedures.\nParticipate in on-call support and critical incident management activities. \nYour Profile:\n4-6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration.\nStrong experience in PL/SQL Development and Optimization.\nExperience with Oracle Database 12c, 19c, or higher.\nStrong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning techniques.\nExperience with Oracle Backup and Recovery.\nHands-on experience with database patching, cloning, refreshes, and upgrades.\nExpertise in database monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive maintenance.\nExperience managing Oracle users, roles, permissions, and security policies.\nGood understanding of Oracle architecture, memory structures, and database internals.\nKnowledge of partitioning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.\nExperience supporting production databases in enterprise environments. \n#LI-DC10\n#LI-Remote\nCapgemini is a global business and technology transformation partner, helping organizations to accelerate their dual transition to a digital and sustainable world, while creating tangible impact for enterprises and society.
