it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.\nYour Role:\nDesign build and maintain robust GitLab CICD pipelines covering build testing security scanning artifact promotion and multi environment deployments\nDevelop and manage Helm charts and reusable deployment configurations for Java services OPA Envoy and supporting platform components\nBuild maintain and troubleshoot Docker images Docker Compose environments container networking and runtime configurations\nImplement and enhance platform observability through metrics dashboards alerting structured logging and distributed tracing\nIntegrate security and quality controls including SAST container scanning dependency scanning code quality analysis and vulnerability management\nAutomate secure configuration management secrets handling certificate deployment and compliance evidence generation\nDesign deployment resilience strategies including rollback mechanisms circuit breakers high availability and disaster recovery controls\nSupport performance tuning capacity planning and operational optimization across policy engines event streaming platforms and application services\nCollaborate with engineering security architecture and operations teams to deliver secure scalable and resilient platform capabilities\nPromote DevOps best practices automation first principles and continuous improvement across the engineering organization\n\nYour Skills:\nStrong experience in Platform Engineering DevOps Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering SRE roles\nProven expertise in GitLab CICD pipeline engineering release automation and artifact promotion strategies\nHandson experience with Docker Helm containerized platforms Kubernetes and or OpenShift\nStrong understanding of Java Spring Boot applications and the ability to troubleshoot service deployments and runtime issues\nPractical experience with Apache Kafka including operational monitoring and troubleshooting of event driven systems\nExpertise in observability platforms such as Prometheus Grafana CloudWatch Open Telemetry Observe or equivalent tooling\nExperience implementing structured logging distributed tracing W3C Trace Context and application monitoring frameworks\nStrong knowledge of integrating security scanning code quality controls container security and dependency management into CICD pipelines\nExperience supporting and managing distributed systems within enterprise production environments\nFamiliarity with Test Driven Development TDD principles and automated quality assurance practices\nExperience leveraging AI assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code GitHub Copilot or equivalent technologies while applying appropriate governance and validationPreferred Skills\n\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code Terraform CloudFormation or equivalent\nKnowledge of Vault or enterprise grade secrets management platforms\nStrong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering SRE principles Service Level Indicators SLIs Service Level Objectives SLOs and operational resilience practices\nExperience supporting highly regulated environments within Banking Financial Services Insurance or Public Sector organizations\nFamiliarity with service mesh technologies API gateways policy enforcement platforms and authorization frameworks\nKnowledge of cloud native architecture and modern platform engineering practices.\nWe are a Disability Confident Employer:\nCapgemini is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) under the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.
