The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders, data governance teams, and technology teams to ensure effective implementation and adoption of Databricks Unity Catalog and enterprise Data Catalog solutions.\nThe Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering business requirements, defining data governance processes, improving data discoverability, ensuring compliance, and enabling data-driven decision-making through a robust data management framework.\nYour Role :\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, data stewards, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.\nConduct workshops and requirement-gathering sessions for Data Governance, Unity Catalog, and Data Catalog initiatives.\nTranslate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and process documentation.\nAct as the primary liaison between business and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.\nSupport the implementation, enhancement, and adoption of Databricks Unity Catalog and enterprise Data Catalog solutions.\nDefine and maintain metadata standards, data classifications, taxonomy, and data lineage requirements.\nEnsure effective cataloging, governance, and discoverability of enterprise data assets.\nPartner with data engineering and platform teams to onboard and manage data assets within the catalog.\nAssist in establishing and improving enterprise data governance policies, standards, and procedures.\nDefine and support data ownership, stewardship, and accountability frameworks.\nEnsure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and data security requirements.\nSupport audit, risk management, and compliance initiatives related to data governance and management.\nAnalyze current data management processes and recommend improvements to drive operational efficiency.\nDevelop and track KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to measure data governance effectiveness and adoption.\nMonitor data quality and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data-related issues.\nPrepare executive-level presentations, reports, and status updates for leadership and stakeholders.\nSupport Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.\nManage requirements traceability, change management activities, and project documentation.\nParticipate in UAT planning, testing, business validation, and stakeholder sign-off activities.\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\n7+ years of Business Analysis experience.\n3+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Catalog projects.\nExperience supporting Unity Catalog or enterprise data catalog implementations.\nExperience working with enterprise data and analytics platforms.\nProven track record of delivering large-scale data management initiatives.\nPreferred Certifications\nDatabricks Certified Associate or Professional Certifications\nDAMA CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional)\nMicrosoft Azure Data Fundamentals / Data Engineer Certifications\nCollibra Ranger Certification\nCertified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)\nAgile Scrum Certification\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in a relevant technical, analytics, or business-related field required.\nMaster's degree preferred.\nThe base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $76,000 to $187,000\nCapgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
