Client built own tech stack to have scalable column-oriented database cloud solution for the backend of their service which is running on AWS.\nClient’s project is migration of the column-oriented database software cloud from Intel to ARM architecture. Current position is to join Virtualization team, where virtual layer is built from scratch for ARM hardware. The main skills required are C ANSI experience as well as driver and kernel development on Linux.\nResponsibilities:\nBuild new features and maintain existing functionality of the client’s platform/product per specs and design\n\nParticipate in code reviews\n\nReport to Team Lead or supervisor about feature readiness/quality and raise red flags in crisis situations\n\nParticipate in functional and architectural design of assigned features\n\nResearch and evaluate technical options to implement assigned features\n\nProvide estimations of feature scope and split it into tasks\n\nWork in close contact with team members or other relevant stakeholders\n\nFollow established software development processes\n\nSuggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product.\n\nMust have:\nANSI C programming experience\n\nMulti-core/multi-threaded programming experience\n\nLinux/POSIX\n\nLinux kernel development\n\nUpper-Intermediate English.\n\nWould be a plus:\nExperience of building/optimization software for ARM processors\n\nExperience in parallel computation\n\nExperience with Virtualization software, HyperVisor\n\nAssembler.\n\nPersonal competencies:\nTechnical documentation writing skills\n\nGood communication and collaboration skills\n\nTeam working experience\n\nFast research and learning skills.\n\nWhat you will love about working here?\nWe care about all our employees and want them to feel as comfortable as possible.
