Leadership expectations can be adjusted for more junior roles with increased hands-on focus.\nMission\nDefine, deploy, and maintain EDA tool flows and CAD infrastructure supporting semiconductor design and verification activities across full SoC lifecycle.\nDrive the evaluation, benchmarking, and integration of EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens EDA, Arteris) and associated flows to maximize productivity, reliability, and scalability.\nOwn the engineering infrastructure environment (compute, storage, licensing, CI/CD, automation) required for advanced chip design workloads.\nCollaborate with design, verification, and physical implementation teams to ensure efficient, robust, and scalable tool usage.\nExplore and integrate AI/ML-based tooling and workflows to improve engineering productivity (automation, debugging, optimization, knowledge extraction).\nEnsure optimal trade-offs between performance, cost, scalability, and usability of the CAD environment.\nAct as a key technical interface between internal engineering teams, management, and EDA vendors.\nProvide regular reporting on tool performance, usage, and roadmap alignment.\nMain responsibilities\nDefine, deploy, and maintain EDA flows for digital, mixed-signal, and verification activities (simulation, synthesis, P&R, DFT, signoff).\nEvaluate, benchmark, and qualify new EDA tools, releases, and methodologies before production deployment.\nDesign and operate EDA infrastructure environments, including:\nCompute farms (Linux-based clusters for simulation and regression)\nStorage systems (NFS, distributed storage, backup/DR)\nLicense servers (FlexLM/Flexera)\nDevelop and maintain automation frameworks for:\nTool installation and configuration\nRegression and CI/CD pipelines\nResource provisioning and monitoring\nImplement and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) for design and verification workflows.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to:\nOptimize tool usage and flows\nDebug tool-related issues\nImprove turnaround time and efficiency\nMaintain strong interaction with EDA vendors (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens):\nTool support, issue resolution, roadmap alignment\nLicensing strategy and capacity planning\nDefine and enforce best practices and standards for CAD usage and tool flows.\nIntegrate AI-driven capabilities into engineering workflows, including:\nLLM-assisted scripting and automation\nAI-based log analysis, debug assistance, and workflow optimization\nHybrid cloud/on-prem AI infrastructure for sensitive data\nSupport security, compliance, and reliability requirements (e.g., ISO 27001 environments).\nTechnical skills:\nEDA / CAD Flow Expertise:\nStrong experience with full EDA flows:\nSimulation, synthesis, place & route, verification, DFT flows\nTools from Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens EDA (Mentor Graphics)\nTool validation, qualification, and deployment\nStrong experience with:\nEDA licensing systems (FlexLM/Flexera)\nTool versioning, release management, and regression validation\nGood understanding of:\nRTL design, verification flows, and physical design constraints\nInteraction between tools and silicon quality/productivity\nKnowledge in ISO26262, DO-254 is a plus\nWhat you will have working here\nWe care about all our employees and want them to feel as comfortable as possible.
