All underpinned by technology created with purpose.\nYour role\nAs a Senior Data Governance Consultant at Capgemini Invent, you will help clients establish trusted, high-quality, and compliant data foundations that enable business growth, analytics, and AI-driven transformation. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to operationalize governance frameworks and ensure that data is managed as a strategic asset across the organization.\nYour tasks\nImplement governance operating models in the business domains: roles, RACI, decision rights, stewardship forums; at senior level, design them and run the forums and review boards that keep them alive.\nDefine and maintain data standards and business rules: definitions, allowed values, validation rules for master and reference data; at senior level, own the business glossary and, where clients need them, taxonomies, ontologies and knowledge graph standards.\nKeep the data catalog complete and current: onboard assets and domains, link technical metadata to business terms, maintain lineage and classification.\nDesign data quality rules with business owners, implement checks with data engineers, build dashboards and run the issue and remediation process; at senior level, set up the whole data quality management cycle.\nApply data classification, privacy, data sovereignty and residency requirements (e.g., GDPR): jurisdiction and access rules, retention, the onboarding of data products, and the evidence for regulators.\nSupport data governance maturity assessments: interviews, analysis, gap lists; at senior level, lead them and turn findings into prioritized roadmaps.\nWork with data engineers and platform teams so that standards, classification, lineage and quality checks are implemented in catalogs and data platforms.\nPrepare governance metrics, reporting, training material and audit evidence; contribute to reusable assets and accelerators; at senior level, coach consultants and client data stewards.\nYour profile\nConsultant: 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, master data, data quality or analytics, ideally in a consulting or large enterprise environment. Senior Consultant: 5+ years, with hands-on work in at least three of: governance frameworks, stewardship, data standards or master data, data quality, metadata and catalogs, semantic assets, data privacy, and a track record of leading workstreams.\nUnderstanding of data governance principles and methodologies (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK); CDMP or equivalent certification is a plus.\nHands-on experience with at least one governance, catalog or data quality tool (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Microsoft Purview) and with ERP or master data systems (e.g., SAP); working SQL.\nBusiness analysis and facilitation skills: process mapping, requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops; at senior level, the ability to align senior stakeholders on shared definitions and decisions.\nAwareness of data protection and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR).\nWillingness to work across topics and grow into new ones; strong communication and organization skills; fluent English.\nExperience in one or more of the preferred industries (FS, Automotive, Energy & Utilities, Tech, FMCG, Pharma) is highly desirable.\nWhat You'll love about working here\n Practical benefits: yearly financial bonus, private medical care with Medicover with additional packages (e.g., dental, senior care, oncology) available on preferential terms, life insurance and access to NAIS benefit platform.\n Access to over 70 training tracks with certification opportunities (e.g., GenAI, Excel, Business Analysis, Project Management) on our NEXT platform.
