Where no two days are the same.\nAbout the role:\nWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Power Systems Engineer to support the design, analysis and integration of electrical systems for a next-generation Small Modular Reactor.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role focused on power systems design across the full electrical scope of the plant, including generator systems, grid interconnection, medium and low voltage distribution, as well as safety-related and emergency power systems.\nYour role:\nDesign and integrate electrical systems including Class 1E (safety-related), SC2, and SC3 systems\nPerform power system studies using ETAP, including:\nLoad flow analysis;\nShort circuit calculations;\nMotor starting studies;\nProtective relay coordination;\nDevelop key electrical engineering deliverables such as:\nLoad lists;\nSingle-line diagrams;\nElectrical schematics;\nEngineering calculations;\nPrepare technical specifications for major electrical equipment:\nPower transformers;\nSwitchgear;\nDiesel generators;\nUPS systems;\nSupport regulatory compliance and licensing activities (US NRC / Canadian CNSC);\nInterface with external stakeholders, including utilities, for:\nGrid interconnection;\nProtection requirements;\nEnsure designs comply with US, Canadian, and international (IEC/IEEE) standards and codes;\nContribute to the safe and reliable operation of a safety-critical nuclear power system.\nYour profile:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred);\nMinimum 8+ years of experience in power systems engineering within high-reliability industries such as: Nuclear, Power generation, Oil & gas, Military or similar;\nStrong expertise in:\nElectrical power systems design;\nProtection and coordination;\nHands-on experience with ETAP or similar power system analysis tools;\nProven experience working with:\nGenerator protection systems;\nLarge power transformers;\nPractical experience configuring or working with protective relays, preferably:\nSEL (Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories);\nGE Multilin;\nFamiliarity with electrical codes and standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, CSA);\nAbility to work in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment with attention to detail and documentation.\nWHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE?\nCollaborative and Inclusive Culture: You’ll work alongside passionate engineers striving to provide the best service to our clients and communities with shared interests and identities, in a dynamic environment involving teams spread across different global locations;\nFlexibility and Growth: Enjoy flexible working hours and access to a wide range of professional development opportunities, including training programs, learning platforms and certifications.
