The role will lead the development of Java and Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, event-driven services, batch-processing capabilities, and containerized workloads across cloud and enterprise platforms.\nThe selected candidate will provide technical leadership across solution design, application development, code quality, testing, releases, production support, and engineering team coordination.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and develop Java and Spring Boot microservices for banking, payments, alerts, account servicing, and customer-facing platforms.\nBuild secure RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations using Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, or JMS.\nDevelop high-volume, low-latency, and resilient distributed services.\nDesign batch and sub-batch processing for large datasets, including failure handling and recoverability.\nImplement data archival, restoration, synchronization, and migration capabilities.\nDesign and optimize MongoDB and relational database collections, schemas, indexes, and queries.\nLead technical design, low-level design, development, testing, release, and production support activities.\nProvide technical direction, code reviews, development standards, and mentoring to engineering teams.\nMigrate applications to OpenShift and Kubernetes-based container platforms.\nDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Harness, GitHub, Maven, Gradle, and artifact repositories.\nImplement OAuth 2.0, TLS, encryption, and API security controls.\nDevelop automated tests using JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium, JMeter, Gatling, WireMock, or comparable tools.\nBuild dashboards and operational alerts using Splunk, Kibana, AppDynamics, Instana, or Datadog.\nTroubleshoot production issues by analyzing application logs, performance metrics, event flows, and database behavior.\nCollaborate with product owners, architects, QA, database, security, and DevOps teams.\nDrive application resiliency, performance improvement, cloud adoption, and engineering automation.\nSkills & Education:\nRequired Skills\nAdvanced Java and J2EE development experience.\nStrong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Batch, and REST APIs.\nExperience with microservices and event-driven architecture.\nHands-on experience with Kafka and at least one enterprise messaging technology.\nStrong experience with MongoDB and relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.\nExperience deploying applications to OpenShift, Kubernetes, AWS, or comparable cloud platforms.\nStrong understanding of API security, OAuth 2.0, TLS, and encryption.\nExperience with Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, GitHub, SonarQube, and CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience with automated unit, integration, behavioral, and performance testing.\nProduction support experience using enterprise monitoring and logging tools.\nProven ability to lead technical delivery and coordinate engineering activities.\nPreferred Skills\nBanking, payments, cards, digital wallets, alerts, or account servicing experience.\nExperience with Cassandra, MariaDB, or other NoSQL platforms.\nExperience with Apigee or another API management platform.\nFamiliarity with AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nKnowledge of Autosys and enterprise batch scheduling.\nAWS certification or another relevant cloud certification.\nExperience using AI-assisted software development tools.\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.\nThe base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 80,000 to 95,652\nCapgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
