The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting software solutions while working closely with developers, QA engineers, security specialists, and architects. This role requires strong development experience in C, C++, Java, and Python, along with experience working with secure software solutions, test automation, and AI-assisted development tools.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain software components using C, C++, Java, Python, and Bash.\nParticipate in requirements analysis, design discussions, sprint planning, and effort estimation activities.\nCollaborate with architects, developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.\nIntegrate and support networking and cryptographic libraries within software applications.\nDevelop and maintain unit tests and support test automation initiatives.\nCollaborate with QA teams to define and implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) test scenarios.\nTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues identified during testing or production support activities.\nWork with security teams to apply secure development practices and address vulnerabilities.\nMaintain technical documentation and contribute to feature documentation.\nTrack progress and provide regular status updates using Agile tools such as Jira.\nUtilize AI-based tools and practices to support software design, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.\nRequired Skills and Experience\nMinimum 4 years of software development experience using C, C++, Java, and/or Python.\nMinimum 4 years of experience working with cryptographic libraries, security services, or security-focused software development.\nMinimum 4 years of experience developing software within quality-driven and security-conscious environments.\nExperience defining and implementing unit tests.\nKnowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and test automation practices.\nMinimum 4 years of experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum and/or SAFe.\nMinimum 1 year of experience using AI tools to support software development, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, or documentation.\nExperience working in Linux, Unix, and/or Windows environments.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with automated testing frameworks.\nExperience working with networking technologies and secure communications.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.\nExperience using Jira or similar Agile project management tools.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nLocation and Work Arrangement\nLocation: Ottawa, Ontario\nWork Arrangement: Hybrid\nSuccessful candidate will be required to work from the client's Ottawa office 3 days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely.\nThe base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $62,874 - $147,504 CAD.\nCapgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
