The role is responsible for leading operational service delivery across the SRE managed service, ensuring reliability, availability, governance, and continual service improvement for our clients.\nOperating within a Cloud Pod structure, the SRE Operational Lead acts as the operational authority for service performance, driving operational excellence across Incident, Problem, Change, Availability, and Service Level Management. You will work closely with SRE Technical Leads, Architects, SRE Engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure services meet agreed contractual and operational commitments.\nHybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.\nIf you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)\nYour role\nAs a key member of the managed service delivery team, you will be empowered to:\nOwn the day-to-day operational performance and delivery outcomes of the SRE Service.\nBuild and maintain strong customer relationships and act as a trusted operational leader.\nDrive achievement of SLA, KPI, XLA and SLO commitments.\nOversee incident, problem, change and release management activities.\nLead major incident coordination and service restoration activities where required from an SRE perspective.\nFoster adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets and operational automation.\nChampion automation, reliability and operational efficiency initiatives to reduce manual effort and operational toil.\nWork closely with architects and engineering teams to align delivery with agreed technical strategies and roadmaps.\nIdentify risks, issues and service improvement opportunities and drive remediation plans.\nInput into operational, financial and service performance reporting to customer and account stakeholders.\nDevelop and mentor team members, supporting career progression and capability growth.\nPromote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, innovation and operational excellence.\nYou can bring your whole self to work.
