Capgemini is a French information technology services and consulting group founded in Grenoble in 1967 by Serge Kampf, and one of the largest IT service providers in the world. It designs, builds and runs systems for large enterprises and governments across some fifty countries, with a delivery workforce concentrated in India and a European client base heavier than most of its competitors. The group is organised into Capgemini Invent for strategy and design, Capgemini Engineering for research and development services acquired with Altran, and Sogeti for local technology services, and it has reoriented its portfolio around cloud migration, data platforms and generative AI.

About the job you’re considering

Our Transition Programme Managers lead complex transition and transformation programmes within large managed service environments, providing innovation in solution design, maximizing commercial benefit and delivering operational efficiency, whilst ensuring client expectations are met.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

  • You will lead the transition input to our bids, developing viable solutions, plans and costs, balancing commercial risk and price competitiveness.

  • You manage the whole process of transferring services from incumbent service providers into Capgemini, ensuring service levels are maintained throughout.

  • You own programme governance, financial control, delivery plans, risks, dependencies and stakeholder management, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed business outcomes.

  • You develop innovative, comprehensive, realistic and effective plans that meet client needs and expectations, helping to shape and manage client expectations throughout delivery.

  • You operate in difficult, complex or political environments taking full responsibility for outcomes, representing and promoting the group internally and externally, including at board level.

  • You develop strategic partnerships and strong relationships with internal and external clients, whilst leading and building effective delivery teams to meet business objectives and transition requirements.

You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.

Your skills and experience

  • Extensive programme management experience gained within managed service environments, with ownership of governance, budgets, executive reporting and delivery across complex multi-workstream programmes.

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale IT service transitions and/or transformation programmes, ensuring service readiness, stability and continuous improvement across complex environments.

  • Strong stakeholder, commercial and client management skills, with experience managing senior stakeholders, supplier relationships, programme financials, negotiations and revenues in the £1m-£10m range.

  • Broad understanding of managed services and IT domains (e.g. Cloud, Infrastructure, Service Desk, Cyber Security and SIAM), with experience supporting business growth through client engagement, bid/proposal input, capability development and innovation.

We are a Disability Confident Employer

  • Declare they have a disability, and
  • Meet the minimum essential criteria for the role.
