Join our cleaning team supporting Norfolk and Suffolk Police Authority and help keep an important facility clean, well presented and ready for use.Job title:\nCleaner - Part TimeJob Description:\nMake a practical difference, every day\nFrom daily cleaning in the Core Custody Areas to responding to cleaning needs across the building, you’ll help maintain high standards while keeping disruption to day-to-day operations to a minimum. Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll work as part of a team and use your initiative to keep your areas looking their best.\nSalary: £18,782.40 per year\nHours: 28 hours per week - Monday and Friday: 8 hours each; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 4 hours each.\nLocation: Great Yarmouth - Police Investigation Centre\nContract type: Temporary\nWhat you’ll be doing\nCarry out daily, general and emergency cleaning across the facility, including Core Custody Areas, toilets and welfare areas, to agreed service standards and your line manager’s instructions.\nPlan your work proactively within core working hours, maintaining high standards of appearance and hygiene while minimising disruption to the facility.\nCollect waste and general rubbish and take it to designated collection points within the facility boundary.\nKeep soap dispensers, towels and other essential supplies replenished in line with the relevant guidelines.\nCheck that cleaning equipment is in good working order and use electrical appliances only as intended and in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions.\nMonitor stocks of cleaning products and equipment, arranging replenishment, maintenance or repairs through the Site Manager in good time.\nReport equipment faults, damaged furniture, lighting failures, leaking taps and other issues to your line manager promptly.\nFollow Norfolk and Suffolk Police Authority and Tascor Services operational procedures, including health and safety requirements.\nStore cleaning supplies safely in accordance with provided procedures and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.\nSupport efficient energy use by switching off lights when they are not required.\nWork closely with colleagues and take a flexible approach, including occasional alternative tasks requested by your line manager or Facilities Manager.\nWhat we’re looking for\nA team player who works well with colleagues and takes pride in delivering a reliable cleaning service.\nA self-motivated approach, with the initiative to maintain standards and the ability to work under direct supervision when required.\nGood communication and interpersonal skills.\nA positive, can-do attitude and the ability to carry out the duties of a physically demanding cleaning role.\nThe ability to work in varied and diverse client environments.\nPrevious experience in a cleaning role.\nReady to make a difference?\nIf you take pride in a job well done and enjoy helping keep essential facilities clean and operational, we’d like to hear from you.
