Working closely with other stakeholders our activities and skills are wide and varied.\nYou will manage an Implementation team responsible for the delivery of automated calculation for new clients and ensure all people management tasks are carried out as appropriate and that staff are developed, mentored and trained as required to fulfil their roles. Along with your team management responsibilities you will review all project and team documentation for quality standards and ensure process change is incorporated and liaise with Programme/Project managers to facilitate project deadlines and timescales.\nJob title:\nConfiguration Team Implementation ManagerJob Description:\nKey Accountabilities\nManagement and development of staff assigned.\nEnsure projects are successfully delivered and no penalties are incurred.\nDeliver new client implementations on time, to budget and to quality standards.\nSupport and develop team/staff to enable client service excellence and create innovate solutions.\nOwn and promote best practice within the team and oversee/sign off process improvements.\nDeliver what we promise, reviewing and agreeing project plans for identification and mitigation of risks and issues.\nSupport the Programme/Project Managers in steering projects to successful closure and influence approach for all project deliverables, ensure all projects are resourced appropriately, escalating where this is at risk.\nKey tasks\nReview all project and Team documentation for quality standards and ensure process change is incorporated.\nLead the team on process and delivery approach.\nSeek out efficiencies and mentor the team on best practice.\nLiaise with Programme/Project managers to facilitate project deadlines and timescales.\nManage the specific Implementation Team and ensure all people management tasks are carried out as appropriate and that staff are developed, mentored and trained as required to fulfil their roles. \nAbout You\nEssential skills and experience:\nStrong technical pensions knowledge in DB schemes and able to explain complex matters\nSystem/Calculations Configuration or Operations background with strong management and/or leadership skills\nExperience of client interaction and dealing with internal and external stakeholders\nCan evidence previous experience of implementing change or working in a project environment\nSystem Testing and/or User Acceptance Testing: Understands the purpose of calculation proformas, Benefit Basis, Benefit Specifications, scenario matrices, test plans, Calculation Specifications, system debugs and root cause analysis and triage processes.\nFamiliar with pension administration systems, member records and their set up and operational processing.\nAble to analyse requirements to ensure output is fit for purpose\nUp to date with legislation and other policy changes that affect pensions, considers the impact to Implementation processes\nHas a detailed understanding and can explain the difference between DB, DC, CARE and Annuities, how they are administered and a full understanding of system & process implications\nShows a commitment to providing a quality service and errors are identified as part of the checking and sign off process.\nAbout Capita Pension Solutions\nCapita Pension Solutions is one of the UK’s leading pension providers, supporting over 450 schemes and more than 7 million members.
