The role focuses on operating and supporting enclosing and finishing equipment, completing quality checks,maintainingaccurateproduction records, and helping the team deliver mail packs to customer requirements and agreed service levels.\nWorking Hours: Rotating Two-shift pattern: 6:00AM to 2:00PM and 2:00PM to 10:00PM.\nResponsibilities\nOperate and support enclosing and finishing equipment, including CMC mailing machines, Bowe Fusion mailing machines, pressure sealers, foldingequipmentand consolidators where trained andauthorised.\n\nSet up work in line with the job specification, production schedule, workinstructionsand site quality controls.\n\nCarry out start-up, in-process and end-of-job checks to confirm the correct documents, inserts, envelopes, postageformatsand job counts are being used.\n\nMonitor machine performance throughout the run and escalate jams, recurring faults, qualityissuesor downtime promptly to the Team Leader, Engineering or Planning asappropriate.\n\nComplete production paperwork, system updates, reconciliationrecordsand handover notes accurately and on time.\n\nCarry out routine operator maintenance, housekeeping and cleaning tasks to keep equipment and work areas safe,organisedandproduction-ready.\n\nSupport consumable stock checks and highlight shortages of envelopes, paper, inserts,labelsor other production materials before they affect output.\n\nWork flexibly across the production area to support workload, service level requirements,overtimeand cross-training needs.\n\nAbout You\nEnclosing machine experience - essential\n\nCMC mailing machine experience - desirable\n\nExperience in print, mail, fulfilment, production, manufacturing or a similar fast-paced operational environment is desirable.\n\nGood attention to detail with the ability to follow written work instructions and verbal direction accurately.\n\nConfident with basic computer use, production recording and job tracking systems, or willing to learn.\n\nAble to work as part of a team and communicate clearly during handovers, downtime escalations and quality checks.\n\nAbout Capita Intelligent Communications (CIC)\nCapita Intelligent Communications (CIC) is a leading provider of secure communications, mailroom, scanning and document management services.
