This role develops and supports enterprise analytics solutions, reusable semantic models, and platform standards while ensuring the security, reliability, and scalability of the analytics environment. The Senior Analytics Platform Engineer partners with business and technology teams to deliver trusted, governed, and accessible analytics capabilities that support reporting, decision-making, self-service analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.\nResponsibilities and Qualifications\nAdminister and support the enterprise Power BI and Microsoft Fabric environment, including security, workspaces, capacities, gateways, deployment processes, monitoring, and platform configurations.\n\nEstablish and maintain governance standards, development practices, lifecycle controls, security requirements, and operational procedures.\n\nEnsure platform availability, reliability, performance, scalability, and compliance with enterprise policies and regulatory requirements.\n\nMonitor platform health, troubleshoot complex issues, implement performance improvements, and support capacity planning and optimization.\n\nMaintain platform documentation, support procedures, and operational controls\n\nDesign, develop, administer, and optimize reusable semantic models, datasets, dataflows, and other governed analytics assets.\n\nEstablish standards for shared business definitions, measures, calculations, and reporting logic to promote consistency across the organization.\n\nPartner with business and data governance stakeholders to ensure analytics assets are accurate, trusted, documented, and aligned with enterprise standards.\n\nPromote reuse of governed analytics assets and reduce duplicate reporting solutions and datasets.\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, scorecards, and analytical solutions using Power BI, Fabric, and related Microsoft technologies.\n\nDevelop and optimize DAX calculations, data transformations, visualizations, and reporting logic.\n\nCreate reusable templates, themes, and development standards that improve consistency, usability, accessibility, and maintainability.\n\nSupport the modernization, consolidation, and lifecycle management of enterprise reporting solutions.\n\nMonitor platform health, availability, performance, capacity, security, and operational effectiveness.\n\nEstablish operational standards, service metrics, and usage reporting to support platform governance, adoption, and optimization.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.\n\nOptimize platform configurations, semantic models, reports, refresh processes, and capacity utilization to improve scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.\n\nPartner with business stakeholders, analysts, developers, and technology teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions and address reporting needs.\n\nProvide technical consultation, guidance, training, and support related to platform capabilities, analytics architecture, semantic models, security, and reporting solutions.\n\nPromote responsible adoption of Power BI, Fabric, and self-service analytics capabilities through standards, education, and community engagement.\n\nSupport production analytics environments and communicate platform changes, issues, and new capabilities to stakeholders.\n\nEvaluate, prototype, and recommend Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, automation, Copilot, and AI-enabled analytics capabilities.\n\nSupport the enterprise analytics platform roadmap and modernization initiatives.\n\nParticipate in architecture discussions involving analytics, reporting, and enterprise data platforms.\n\nDevelop and support governed AI-powered analytics solutions, trusted data assets, and reusable analytics capabilities.\n\nSkills:\nAdvanced analytics platform administration and governance skills.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to develop scalable semantic models, reusable analytics assets, and reporting solutions.\n\nAbility to establish and maintain technical standards, governance processes, and metadata, lineage, and information management principles.\n\nUnderstanding of software development lifecycle, source control, testing, deployment, and operational support practices.\n\nKnowledge of cloud data architecture, data warehousing, and business intelligence concepts.\n\nFamiliarity with AI-enabled analytics capabilities and healthcare data environments preferred.\n\nExperience:\nSeven (7) or more years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, data platforms, or related technology roles.\n\nFive (5) or more years of hands-on experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power BI.\n\nThree (3) or more years of experience administering Power BI in an enterprise or similarly complex environment.\n\nExperience designing and supporting enterprise reporting solutions, semantic models, and reusable analytics assets.\n\nExperience establishing platform governance, security controls, and development standards.\n\nExperience partnering with business stakeholders to deliver analytics and reporting solutions.\n\nExperience working with SQL, dimensional modeling, and enterprise or cloud-based data platforms.\n\nEducation and Certifications:\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.\n\nMicrosoft Power BI Data Analyst, Fabric Analytics Engineer, Fabric Data Engineer, Azure, or comparable Microsoft certification preferred.\n\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric administration and implementation.\n\nExperience integrating Power BI with Snowflake, Azure, or other enterprise data platforms.\n\nExperience supporting self-service or federated analytics environments.\n\nExperience with analytics automation, deployment practices, or platform modernization initiatives.\n\nExperience developing or supporting AI-enabled analytics solutions.\n\nHealthcare payer, insurance, or other regulated-industry experience.\n\nWork Environment: \nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
