We play an essential role in establishing practices for building technology solutions across the company, while also delivering capabilities that exemplify those practices.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nDevelop iOS client code solutions that deliver on Product Strategy and adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines and principles\nPartner with Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high performing quality customer experiences that are engaging, purposeful and powerful in their simplicity\nActively participate in all team Agile ceremonies, contributing to ensure that all team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality\nBe an active advocate of the mobile platform through both internal and external developer communities\nRemain an active learner in all technologies related to mobile development (Swift, Kotlin, 3rd party libraries, etc.)\nInfluence and contribute to group discussions and incorporate feedback/communication from the broader team\nMentor junior to mid-level members of the team\nActively engage with developers outside of the local sprint team across various disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.)\nOwn and lead delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with senior engineers and Architects\nConsistently share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams\nIdentify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions\nReview pull requests and ensure adherence to Swift and other language idioms\nGrow and provide SME level leadership while leading technical development for a mobile development team\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering)\nAt least 6 years of professional experience in software engineering, mobile architectural design and project execution across multiple teams (internship experience does not apply)\nAt least 6 years of experience building native mobile applications for Android or iOS\nAt least 3 years of experience architecting or leading the development of federated native mobile applications\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSignificant experience building native mobile applications for iOS\nProven experience with modern native UI frameworks (e.g., SwiftUI)\nProven experience with designing and building automated testing suites for mobile (e.g., Swift Testing)\nProven experience with modular architecture and modern state management patterns\nProven experience with performance tuning and optimization on native mobile platforms\nExperience providing technical leadership for a large product area, influencing its technical vision and roadmap\nExperience leading the design of multi-team components or contributing to shared SDKs\nExperience developing and scaling client Backend-for-Frontends (BFFs) and defining efficient data-fetching strategies using protocols like gRPC/Protobuf\nWorking knowledge of on-device ML frameworks (e.g., CoreML, TensorFlow Lite)\nExpertise in release health indicators, metrics-driven staged rollout, and feature flag strategies\nExpertise with agentic AI coding tools and developer productivity patterns\nCapital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.\nThe minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.
