In this role, you will engage in a comprehensive oversight framework for Debit payment types, encompassing strategy, operations, and risk management.\nIn this capacity, you will perform governance and strategic management across all Debit payment channels. Working with key stakeholders, you will deliver impactful results that refine Capital One's Debit strategies. You will be pivotal in advancing our well-managed agenda, utilizing technology to streamline initiatives, mitigate risks, and enhance the experience for both customers and associates.\nAs a Debit Horizontal team member, you will be tasked with generating strategic insights and maintaining essential processes for Debit operations. Your responsibilities include governing Debit-related events and issues company-wide, ensuring major risks are escalated to Senior Management for timely resolution. You will also foster connections with ecosystem partners-including Operations, Initiation, and Advisors-to establish routines for monitoring operational metrics, controls, and risks that inform critical leadership discussions.\nIn this role you will drive results by navigating formal and informal organizational channels and influencing stakeholders at all levels.\nKey responsibilities include:\n Enterprise Partnerships: Collaborate with ecosystem partners (Advisors, Operations, Initiation) on routines and lead insightful discussions with leadership.\nIssue Resolution & Problem Solving: Serve as an inquisitive problem solver with a deep need to understand upstream and downstream impacts; leverage these skills to collaborate across teams and resolve Debit-related events.\nOperational Excellence: Accept full ownership to drive disciplined execution and continuous improvement across processes, controls, and operational practices to deliver consistent, well-managed outcomes.\nProcess Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline or automate current monitoring processes, thriving in undefined space and adapting to organizational change with vigor.\nRelationship Management: Demonstrate a proven ability to manage, build networks, and influence internal and third-party relationships with sound judgment and persistent drive.\nRisk Management: Ensure Debit payment issues are identified and documented with high attention to detail, escalating major risks to Senior Management when necessary.\nThe Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate:\nContinuous Growth Mindset: A tenacious attitude toward their learning journey and a proactive approach to continuous self-improvement.\nEffective Execution: A proven ability to execute priorities effectively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nStrong & Adaptable Communication: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills to influence outcomes across various levels of leadership.\nLocation: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office and the remainder of the week working virtually.\nBasic Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification\nAt least 2 years of project or process management experience\nAt least 1 year of banking operations or payments experience\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree or Military Experience\nAt least 2 years of experience working with internal and external stakeholders\nAt least 3 years of project or process management experience\nSix Sigma, Lean, BPM, or PMP Certification\nAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.\nThe minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.
