About the Team
As part of the Global Payments Network Product team, you will help lead and own the core authorization domain that sits at the center of every transaction we process: authorization decisioning, rules and configuration, routing, resiliency, and trust (fraud/risk signaling, credential validation, tokenization). This leader will be accountable end-to-end for the platform's ability to authorize transactions correctly, securely, and reliably at scale across all networks (DN, DCI, PULSE) and schemes, setting the highest bar for change control, testing, and uptime given that any defect in this domain directly threatens live money movement - while drawing a clear, defensible boundary between what belongs in the core versus what should live in adjacent domains (boarding, client servicing, settlement, regulatory/risk, data & insights, etc.). The ideal candidate has deep experience running mission-critical, high-availability transaction-processing systems in payments or financial services, a track record of building platforms designed for products not yet imagined rather than re-architecting around today's requirements, and the organizational maturity to partner closely with peer domain owners, product, and risk/compliance stakeholders during a major platform migration and cutover.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 7 years of Product Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $245,100 - $279,800 for Sr. Dir, Product ManagementMcLean, VA: $269,600 - $307,700 for Sr. Dir, Product ManagementRichmond, VA: $245,100 - $279,800 for Sr. Dir, Product ManagementRiverwoods, IL: $245,100 - $279,800 for Sr. Dir, Product ManagementCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
