Join us in powering North America!\nYour Opportunity\nOne Permanent Full-Time Position.\nThe Lead, Technical Accounting plays a key role in assessing the impacts of significant and unusual transactions and in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements. This role ensures continued compliance with accounting standards and regulations, while supporting leadership and auditors with technical accounting insights.\nYou will contribute to our team by:\nTechnical Accounting & Reporting\nAdvise on technical accounting matters and prepare supporting memos on an ad-hoc basis\n\nMonitor technical accounting issues and communicate updates to auditors and senior management quarterly\n\nPrepare the indirect cash flow statement and supporting working papers quarterly and annually\n\nPrepare Adjusted Funds from Operations (AFFO) and advise on transaction impacts\n\nPrepare or review financial statement notes and supporting documentation\n\nStandards & Compliance\nMonitor IFRS developments and prepare quarterly summaries for the Audit Committee\n\nPrepare IFRS disclosure checklists to support financial statement reporting\n\nPerform SOX controls as required\n\nWhat you will bring to the role:\nEducation\nPost-secondary degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting\n\nProfessional accounting designation\n\nExperience working with IFRS\n\nExperience\nMinimum of 3 years of accounting experience post designation\n\nExperience in financial reporting; public company experience is an asset\n\nTechnical Skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite\n\nExperience with Oracle is an asset\n\nExperience with US GAAP is an asset\n\nWorking Conditions\nHybrid work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office Tuesday - Thursday.\n\nEdmonton or Calgary candidates will be considered for the position.\n\n8 hours per day, with reasonable overtime required during quarter-end periods\n\nCore hours between 7:30-8:30 AM start and 4:30-5:30 PM end.\n\nAdditional Details:\nIn order to be considered for this role you must be legally eligible to work in Canada.\nThe successful candidate for this position will undergo an education verification, reference checks and criminal record check.
