This is an ideal role for a recent college graduate or early-career professional who wants to learn the business of federal contracting from the ground up.\nYou will work alongside experienced capture, proposal, and executive leaders, supporting market research, pipeline management, capture planning, and business operations. With hands-on mentorship and structured training, this role is designed as a development path toward a Junior Capture Manager position. \nRequirements: This position requires a hybrid schedule working on-site at our Silver Spring, MD office.\nResponsibilities\nHelp maintain an organized, up-to-date opportunity pipeline.\nAssist with agency and market research.\nCompile competitor information and summaries to support bid/no-bid discussions.\nSupport capture managers in developing capture plans, competitive assessments, and win themes.\nPrepare materials, slides, and briefing documents\nAssist with organizing research, RFP documents, and key information.\nMaintain accurate records in Salesforce, including opportunity stage, key dates, and pursuit activities.\nHelp prepare BD metrics, pipeline reports, and dashboards for leadership.\nTrack RFP release dates and deadlines.\nAssist with general Growth team operations, scheduling, and process improvements.\nRequirements\nStrong interest in federal government contracting and building a career in business development and capture management.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort learning new software tools.\nSelf-starter who is eager to learn, takes initiative, and is comfortable asking questions.\nAbility to work a hybrid schedule from our Silver Spring, MD office.\nNice to Have\nCoursework or internship experience related to government, public policy, or federal contracting.\nFamiliarity with SAM.gov, GovWin IQ, USASpending.gov, or a CRM such as Salesforce.\nBasic understanding of the federal procurement process or the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).\nExposure to small business programs (8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB) or contract vehicles (e.g., GSA MAS, SEWP, OASIS).\nInterest in IT services, cybersecurity, or mission-support work.\nWhat You'll Gain\nMentorship from experienced capture and growth leaders.\nHands-on exposure to the full federal business development lifecycle.\nTraining opportunities, including Shipley or equivalent BD/capture methodology.\nA clear development path toward a Junior Capture Manager role.\nSalary Range\nWe are committed to offering a competitive salary for this position, with an estimated range of $45,000-$60,000 annually.
