You will join a team where new products are taking shape and get the opportunity to work across different areas of the bank.\nWhat you'll be doing\n\rWe’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst who enjoys solving problems and turning complexity into simple, practical solutions.\n\nYou’ll work closely with business stakeholders, product teams and engineers to unpack requirements and help shape solutions. We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, comfortable getting into the detail and willing to probe, challenge and understand rather than simply document what they’re told. You’ll work across different products and domains, so being able to connect the dots and make sense of complex information is key.\nDay to day\n\nWork closely with business, UX and technical teams, and run workshops to understand needs, current processes and pain points\n\nDesign future-state processes and system flows, showing how they connect across teams and platforms\n\nWrite technical requirements and specifications, including integration, API and data requirements\n\nTurn requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria\n\nWork with engineers and architects to assess solution options and their impact across systems\n\nMap data flows and define data needs, including source-to-target mappings where required\n\nWork with the Product Owner to refine and prioritise the backlog\n\nSupport testing (SIT and UAT) and make sure what’s delivered meets both business and technical requirements\n\nWhat you'll bring\n\nA degree in an IT-related field, Industrial Engineering or Business\n\nA relevant tertiary qualification in Business Analysis\n\n5+ years’ Business Analysis experience, ideally in a tech environment\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nA natural curiosity and willingness to ask the right questions\n\nAbility to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and specifications\n\nAn understanding of APIs, microservices and system integrations\n\nStrong facilitation skills, and confidence engaging both business and technical stakeholders\n\nAbility to work across multiple teams and complex solutions\n\nClear credit and Criminal record\n\nIt would be great if you also have\n\nExperience within payments, fintech, card acceptance or acquiring\n\nExperience with merchants, SMEs or the informal market\n\nBusiness Analysis certification\n\nExperience with AWS or knowledge of technologies such as Postgres, Java or Kafka\n\nExposure to data, databases, SQL or scripting\n\nWhere you'll work\n\rThis opportunity is based in Stellenbosch, with three days a week in the office.
