Our Capitec App team is growing fast and we need Intermediate UX Engineers to join us.\n\nYou'll build and improve features on one of South Africa's most-used banking apps writing real code that reaches real people, every day.\nWhat you'll work with\n\nReact and TypeScript\n\nComponent libraries and design systems (MUI / MUI X or similar)\n\nGit, CI/CD pipelines and collaborative code workflows\n\nFigma design handoffs\n\nAI-assisted development tools (used responsibly)\n\nWhat you'll do\n\nBuild and maintain modern, responsive front-end features\n\nDevelop reusable components using established design systems\n\nWrite clean, tested and well-documented code\n\nTake work from requirement through to deployment with a reasonable level of independence\n\nJoin code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions\n\nWork with designers, QA, product owners and fellow engineers to deliver quality at pace\n\nWhat you need\n\n2–5 years of front-end development experience (or demonstrated equivalent)\n\nSolid React and TypeScript skills\n\nExperience with component libraries and design systems\n\nFamiliarity with Git, code reviews and software delivery processes\n\nFamiliarity with Figma dev mode \n\nA relevant degree, diploma or equivalent hands-on experience\n\nBonus if you have:\n\nMUI / MUI X experience\n\nFamiliarity with micro-frontend architecture or Module Federation\n\nExperience with Figma handoffs or accessibility principles\n\nA working knowledge of UX best practices and how they shape front-end decisions\n\nWho we're looking for\n\rYou take ownership.
