Responsible for monitoring the implementation of CYFS program policies and procedures requirements in the centers and/or providers homes. Monitors compliance with Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Performance Standards and State and Local regulations. Supports CAPSLO mission by ensuring the CYFS program are operating efficiently and that children are receiving quality services through CAPSLO.\nWhat we're looking for in the ideal candidate:\nBachelor’s degree in child development/early childhood education or related field.\nThree years teaching experience with children ages 0-5 in a licensed setting.\nMust have, or obtain, training in adult learning.\nMust possess a Child Development Teacher Permit or higher.\nMust provide certificates of completion of approved pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR training within (30) days of hire. Employee is responsible for renewing and maintaining a valid CPR/first aid certification at all times.\nMust complete Safety Training (Performance Standard; 1302.47) within three months of hire.\nMust complete (16) hours of training on preventative health practices, as required by Health and Safety Code.\nDepending on the department assigned, a valid California driver's license, a current DMV driving record, and proof of insurance may be required to fulfill job-related travel. For positions where driving is an essential function of the job, candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable laws.\nFluency in two or more languages, including one that supports the needs of the program and community is preferred, but not required.\nAs a Compliance Coordinator you will: \nUse quality assurance tools to monitor all program options and ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards.\nMonitor assigned areas through regularly scheduled and unscheduled site visits.\nEnsure each program option establishes and maintains records and files in compliance with confidentiality requirements.\nParticipate in the program's Self-Assessment using the Head Start Program Review Instrument.\nEnsure daily that the overall program quality at the center level adheres to State laws and licensing regulations, Federal Head Start Performance Standards, CAPSLO personnel policies and procedures, and guidance from the Area Manager.\nDevelop and maintain the Google Drive Monitoring System.\nProvide and assist with staff orientation and training.\nKeep the Area Manager informed of any problems or concerns related to center operations.\nPrepare and provide monthly monitoring reports to the Area Manager.\nObserve instructional staff's guidance techniques with children and offer support when appropriate.\nMaintain confidentiality at all times.\nAct as an active member of the Child, Youth & Family Services (CYFS) team.\nFollow all applicable safety rules, practices, and procedures and exercise reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of children, fellow employees, and yourself.\nPerform and complete all other duties as assigned.\nPlease note this job advertisement is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
