Your work will support CAPSLO’s mission to deliver a high-quality, enriching educational experience for all enrolled children and their families.\nWhat we're looking for in the ideal candidate:\nTeacher I :\nHas an AA/AS\nHas 24 units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development\nHas 6 months related teaching experience\nRCCP, Child Development Teacher Permit or higher.\nTeacher II:\nBA/BS\n12 units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development\n1 year related teaching experience\n3 units Supervised Field Experience\nChild Development Teacher Permit or higher.\nDepending on the department assigned, a valid California driver’s license, a current DMV driving record, and proof of insurance may be required to fulfill job-related travel. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable laws.\nAs a Teacher You Will:\nSupport Center Supervisor in ensuring quality experiences for children and families, adhering to laws, regulations, and policies.\nCoordinate and conduct home visits and parent conferences, scheduling at convenient times for families (may include evenings and weekends).\nPlan and implement the center's education plan, individualizing for each child and tracking development with parental input.\nMaintain accurate documentation and tracking of program requirements (Child/Family Files, Lesson Plans, Curriculum planning, Assessments, Transition Plans, Meal counts, Tracking sheets).\nEnsure the center environment is developmentally appropriate, safe, and offers diverse experiences.\nSupervise children visually at all times.\nParticipate in physical activities with children, involving various movements (lifting, bending, etc.).\nAttend and participate in staff meetings and required trainings.\nInform Center Supervisor of any issues related to children/families or program operations.\nEnsure quality educational experiences for all children, including those with disabilities.\nAid children in developing self-help skills (toileting, feeding, dressing, etc.).\nImplement Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) as part of a multidisciplinary team.\nFollow program policies and procedures for daily operations.\nParticipate in housekeeping duties, ensuring proper sanitation as designated by the Health Coordinator.\nMaintain confidentiality of family records and information.\nProvide appropriate guidance to children, ensuring their personal rights are maintained.\nAct as a Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse and Neglect, following reporting procedures.\nUse reasonable precautions and adhere to safety rules to ensure maximum safety for self, employees, and children.\nPerform other duties as needed.\nPlease note this job advertisement is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
