In this position, the DevOps Software Engineer shall be responsible for overseeing and monitoring live production operations to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of the project's software application suite. Responsibilities include identifying, diagnosing, and responding to service disruptions, performance degradation, and operational issues, performing basic troubleshooting and corrective actions, supporting system sustainment activities, and collaborating with development and operations teams to maintain system health, improve operational efficiency, and support continuous service delivery.\nRequirements\nSecurity Clearance:\nMust currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity\nSeven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.\nRequired Skills:\nExperience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools\nExperience developing scripts using Bash\nRecent Python (3.x) software development experience\nExperience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB\nExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containers\nExperience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI\nDistributed logging and monitoring (ELK Stack, Prometheus/Grafana)\nFamiliar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes\nFamiliar with Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes\nFamiliar with Messaging Frameworks including RabbitMQ\nFamiliar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools such as Ansible\nExperience with Git Source Control System\nDesired Skills:\nExperience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL\nExperience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence\n This position is open for direct hires only.
