Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country.\nDescription\nCaptivation Software is looking for a senior level software integration engineer who shall be responsible for working in Linux environments to perform Kubernetes cluster maintenance, administration, and capability development. Tools and Services include Kubernetes, Docker, PodMan, Helm, Flux, Git, Ansible, VS Code, VMWare, OneView, GitLab CI/CD, FastAPI, uv, HAProxy, NGINX, and the Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence, Jira). The team delivers the Platform-as-a-Service component of the CASA Compute Environment (CEE) which provides secure, multi-tenant, performant and highly available Kubernetes clusters. Use of automated deployment, scaling and management of containerized applications is required to support its large mission base. Knowledge of IaC is required to support provisioning and maintenance of the clusters.\nCandidates applying for this position must have a Cyberspace Certification & Qualification (C2Q) (e.g., Security+) or be willing to obtain a qualified certification within six months of assignment.\nRequirements\nSecurity Clearance:\nMust currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least ten (10) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.\nThe individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least ten (10) years of demonstrable experience.\nAn industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience.\nA Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.\nRequired Skills:\nExperience with the Linux CLI, and Linux tools\nExperience developing scripts using Bash/Python for task automation\nExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker/Podman\nExperience administration and monitoring Kubernetes clusters\nExperience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Kubernetes workloads (ingress, performance, networking, storage, etc.)\nExperience with IaC principles, concepts, and methodologies using automation tools including Ansible\nExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker\nExperience with IaC principles and automation tools including Ansible\nExperience using Flux to deploy and manage Helm Charts\nExperience using Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration\nDesired Skills:\nExperience developing within the eVo environment and transfer of artifacts to the customer’s network\nExperience with release management to include developing production deployment scripts and procedures\nExperience working in a DevOps environment that uses Agile principles and methodologies\nExperience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus /Grafana\nExperience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)\nExperience with or willingness to learn development of Python and Kopf applications (FastAPI, operators, microservices, etc.)\nCKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)\n This position is open for direct hires only.
