A successful candidate for this role will review system requirements, create test cases in both manual and automated formats, manage test suites, execute test cases, manage defects and track multiple quality assurance metrics. This role includes participating in the software development life cycle (SDLC) and communicating with the Business Analysts, Product Managers, Developers and other project team members including business and operations stakeholders. This individual must be highly motivated, detailed oriented and ready continue building our comprehensive QA program that not only safeguards the quality of our software but also foster a “quality culture” within the organization.\nResponsibilities\nInterpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards\nCarefully maintain defect records and track until completion and testing of fixes, assist in root cause analysis and help to implement corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence\nDocument quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits\nImprove standards for quality across all phases including production and design\nIdentify training needs and take action to ensure company-wide awareness and compliance with quality mandates\nPursue continuing education on new solutions, technology, and skills\nDevelop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality throughout the SDLC\nCreating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in related field required or equivalent experience\n2-5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst/Associate\nIntermediate understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) in an agile (two week sprint) setting\nIntermediate ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical product and business users\nIntermediate ability to understand application interactions at the various layers - data, API, UI - and to utilize various testing tools and methodologies to test complex systems effectively and efficiently\nBeginner ability to contribute automated tests to an existing framework and execute within an existing pipeline\nIntermediate SQL testing experience to include SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE and multiple JOIN types to help retrieve and manipulate medium and larger data sets.\nBeginner ability with VS Code or other modern IDE\nBeginner ability with test automation utilizing Selenium, Playwright or other modern open source offerings\nDesired Qualifications/Skills:\nMicrosoft Dynamics CRM experience a plus\nFinancial or Investment Industry knowledge a plus\nExperience with API, security or performance testing tools and methodologies\nMentoring of associate/intern QA on the team\nWHAT can you expect from your career at CAPTRUST?\nOur colleagues, like our clients, tend to stay with CAPTRUST for years.
