Using appropriate project management methodologies (including Agile & Waterfall), you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality reliable, effective and secure solutions that align with our broader technology strategy.\nYou'll be instrumental in Fleet's mission to develop leading digital capability that enhances platforms deployed across our global fleet of 600+ ships.\nKey Roles and Responsibilities\nDescribe primary roles and responsibilities of the job.\nA typical working day will likely include the following activities:\nProject Planning & Execution\nLead and manage multiple IT projects - some in direct ownership, others in collaboration with Development, Operations and Analytics teams\nShape and refine project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders\nCoordinate across project teams, ensuring effective communication, task assignment, and progress tracking\nProactive monitoring and management of project risks, issues, and dependencies implementing mitigation strategies as necessary\nFollow defined project governance frameworks to ensure projects keep affected teams updated\nConduct thorough reviews of project deliverables to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards\nTechnical/Cloud Expertise\nApply your strong understanding of IT foundations covering areas such as Infrastructure, Software Development Lifecycle and Product Management\nCollaborate with engineering teams to design and implementation of solutions to agreed time and quality\nProvide technical guidance and support to team members addressing challenges and facilitating problem-solving to remove blockers that may arise\nTeamwork & Vendor Management\nWork across the Digital/IT team on complex use-cases translating technical concepts and communicating in a way others find easy to understand\nMaintain relationships with key stakeholders including Directors and Senior Managers\nCoach other team members across IT in reviewing their plans and providing best-practice guidance\nWork in partnership with vendors to deliver outcomes that help drive cost-effective digital capability for Fleet\nRelationship (mostly Internal and or External) and Nature of Communication List the internal and external points of interactions that are required of this job.\nINTERNAL:\nStakeholders (based predominantly in HK, Singapore and India)\nInternal IT Team (across HK/India in particular)\nEXTERNAL:\nIT Vendors\nJob Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications\nIndicate the minimum and preferred education and experience for this job and any licenses and certifications needed.\nESSENTIAL - You must have these skills/experience\n7+ years proven experience of IT project management capability delivering tangible, transformative business results\nExperience of directly handling multiple projects in parallel - including managing plans/budgets\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities - with a focus on finding practical and efficient solutions\nSolid understanding of IT infrastructure, systems development life cycle (SDLC), and software engineering fundamentals\nHands-on experience of managing multiple IT vendors and demonstrating how to develop strong partnerships\nDemonstrated ability to adapt quickly, manage changing priorities, and maintain composure under pressure\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English\nDESIRABLE - It would be great if you also have these\nWorking experience of Agile methodologies and techniques (e.g. SCRUM, XP, Lean)\nExperience delivering technology solutions in maritime, logistics, transportation, or other safety-critical regulated industries\nFoundation-level Project Management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2\nCloud platform familiarity (AWS, Azure, GoogleCloud) or associated technical certifications\nCompetencies\nIndicate the observable behaviours that show the knowledge, skills and abilities that the employee should have at a particular level.\nAnalysis and Problem Solving (Level 3):\nUses a systematic approach to root cause analysis on complex problems to identify underlying trends and put forward well-thought-out solutions to address the causes and reduce risk\nListening and Communicating (Level 3):\nIs effective in communicating their vision with a wider audience.
