The primary focus is to conduct plant test campaigns, operate plant equipment, and track plant activities in support of process development and future plant design.\n This position requires a 12-hour shifts following a 7-on / 7-off shift pattern (which includes night and day rotation).\nThis role is based in Squamish, BC.\nThis job is a 12-month temporary position and will be employed and paid through a 3rd party contractor. There is potential for extension.\nThe pay for this role is $40 to 45/hr.\nHealth Safety and Environment\nChampion a positive safety culture within the Operations A, B, C, D shifts. \nBe familiar with, and ensure adherence to core HSE policies including, but not limited to:Permit to work;\nLockout tagout;\nContractor management;\nLine break;\nHot work;\nConfined space entry;\nWorking at height;\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.\n\nMaintain the plant in a safe condition in line with all applicable regulations.\nIdentify, report and resolve unsafe conditions, processes or actions within the workplace.\nEnsure that all safety related incidents, accidents and near misses are reported and investigated in line with company policy.\nBe familiar with the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and associated responsibilities within the plan.\nEnsure that periodic safety inspections, daily rounds and other safety related requirements are completed in a timely fashion.\nComplete training curriculum on Bridge system.\nComplete regular Field Level Hazard Assessments.\nUnderstand and follow Carbon Engineering’s Material Handling Policy to label and transport. \nResponsibilities\nOperate plant equipment efficiently, effectively, and safely.\nComplete and authorize daily work permits as required. \nDevelop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and permits for plant operations.\nIdentify, capture, and communicate lessons learned and implement solutions where appropriate. \nExecute, assess, and sign-off on proper LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures.\nParticipate in test campaigns and production campaigns in line with the Operations Team schedule. \nMaintain a well-organized site and exceptional housekeeping standards.\nRequest, coordinate, and support maintenance requirements with the Maintenance Team.\nCoordinate and oversee contractors working on site.\nAdjust process parameters to achieve targeted results outlined in test plans.\nExecute troubleshooting analysis of plant equipment.\nPerform safety checks and audits.\nMonitor parameters using local HMI and routine plant walk throughs.\nProvide input for or completing daily logs and reports.\nFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for plant operations as required.\nLabel and tag plant equipment.\nRespond to plant upsets and perform necessary actions to get equipment back online including field troubleshooting, equipment cleanouts and turnarounds, and supporting Maintenance Team actions.\nFulfill Operations Team responsibilities as detailed in the Operator Standard Work. \nFoster and maintain a positive culture within the Operations Team;
