We work in a dynamic environment and thrive on tackling rewarding and complex problems as a team.\nPosition Scope\nAs a Project Coordinator, you will be required to support planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities related to Carbon Engineering’s (CE’s) new Technology Development Campus (TDC). You will work with CE’s internal departments and external partners to fully deliver the scope assigned to you by the CE’s management team. You must be comfortable working independently or with a team towards multiple deadlines. Working from the office, home, and traveling to engage with customers, partners, and oversee their work is expected.\nThis job will be at multiple locations within Squamish, BC, with occasional travel outside of Squamish.\n This job is eligible for the flexible work program (9/80 schedule).\nThis job is a 12-month temporary position and will be employed and paid through a 3rd party contractor. There is potential for extension.\nThe pay for this role is $45-65/hr.\nTechnicalTenant Improvement - Direct & manage internal & consultant teams to execute Tenant Improvement installations related to Operations, Maintenance, Lab, Warehouse, HSE, Electrical, IT, AV, Security & any other which management directs.\nDevelop detailed scope, cost, schedule & execution strategies for capital projects at CE TDC.\nManage, document & report monthly project status, scope changes, schedule, budget & project risks.\nManagement of RFI replies.\nCommissioning - Manage commissioning activities related to the installations under your supervision.\nIdentify, report, and resolve unsafe conditions, processes, or actions within the workplace.\nEnsure that all safety related incidents, accidents and near misses are reported and investigated in line with company policy.\nSafetyDemonstrate a positive safety culture. \nMaintain the Innovation Centre in a safe condition in line with all applicable regulations.\nIdentify, report and resolve unsafe conditions, processes or actions within the workplace.\nEnsure that all safety related incidents, accidents and near misses are reported and investigated in line with company policy.\nComplete training curriculum on Bridge system.\n Education and ExperienceEducation\nBEng in Mechanical, Chemical or other Engineering disciplines. \nExperience2-5 years of project management or coordinator experience. \nExperience working with municipalities to meet the requirements to obtain an Occupancy Permit including but not limited to Development Permit, Soil Management Permit, Building Permit & Site Servicing Agreements.\nExperience working on commercial & industrial developments from design to commissioning.\nExperience in preparation and issue of RFIs/RFQs, as well as in reviewing vendor’s documents, drawings, datasheets, specification, and calculations.\nExperience participating in & managing simultaneous operations (SIMOPs).\nExpertise in preparing cost estimates, planning, scheduling, and construction of industrial plants or buildings starting from front end engineering design and progressing through detailed design, construction, and commissioning.\nFamiliarity with scheduling (MS Projects) and Project Controls in general.\nFamiliarity with Quality Management Systems.\nFamiliarity in P&IDs, equipment datasheets, HAZID, HAZOP and other risk programs.\nKey CompetenciesEmbody a positive safety culture on all aspects of the job\nAbility to work independently towards multiple deadlines with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to thrive on doing things that have not been done before (explorer mindset) and tackling challenging problems.\nStrong technical writing and presentation skills with the ability to present technical information, concepts, or study results to project stakeholders.\nExcellent written and verbal communications skills.\n Joining Carbon Engineering provides you more than a career - it’s a calling for those who are ready to make a difference in climate action.
