You’ll work across the full stack from UI to business logic, backend APIs, data storage and architecture, and more. You’ll have a rare opportunity to work directly with the founders to build the product and infrastructure supporting the future of Carda Health. As an early hire in a pivotal role, you’ll have strong technical ownership and also help navigate uncharted business and product challenges.\nThis is a full-time position.\nIn this role, you'll:\nArchitect, develop, and deliver new functionality in the web-based version of our core product -- the app that delivers our remote rehab programs to patients and clinicians\nBuild robust backend APIs, data models, and systems that will support both the frontend and the mobile app being built in parallel by your peers\nDesign, develop, and help deploy AI agent workflows and algorithms to drive efficiency and improve patient experience\nPlay a key role in developing the product vision\nHelp develop and implement our strategy for collecting, reporting, analyzing and using data.\nCollaborate closely with everyone on the team. flexibly - we’re all remote too!\nWhat you bring to the team:\nHistory of technical ownership for significant engineering projects\n5+ years of full time, full-stack web application development experience across frontend, backend, and infrastructure\n5+ years of experience building backend services and APIs with frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Django, Node.js, or similar\nStrong experience with SQL for data analysis and visualization in tools like Tableau, Looker, Metabase, or similar.\nSolid understanding of web APIs, networking fundamentals, database principles, and other technical foundations\nPositive attitude in the face of challenges and dogged determination to solve puzzles with little direction in a high-growth, early stage startup\nProven ability to take product ownership and deliver successful results\nA keen eye for product and user experience\nDemonstrable interest in learning and adopting new tools and techniques\nBonus if you have:\nProficiency in data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling algorithms.\nHands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) or open-source foundation models\nFamiliarity with cloud services like AWS or Google Cloud, particularly for deploying and scaling AI-powered applications\nExperience working with native client applications (iOS or Android)\nPrevious experience at an early stage startup\nExperience working with HIPAA compliant applications and data\nBS/MS in Computer Science or
