Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.\nWhat Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health\nOperations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.\nWarehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controllinga combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.\nJob Summary\nThe primary purpose of the Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations is to support the Warehouse Supervisor through either inbound or outbound management of the warehouse floor and to facilitate effective warehouse operations through direction of warehouse staff, in accordance with operational priorities. In addition, this job assists in coordination of receipt of shipments and scheduling of incoming trucks, as well as making internal appointments. This job also delegates work among the warehouse staff and produces reports on workforce productivity and quality. The Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations also communicates with customers outside the warehouse to communicate disruptions, provide updates on delivery timeframes and ensure customer satisfaction.\nResponsibilities\nFollows standard operating procedures to assess inventory levels, submit orders, and audit warehouse operations to facilitate successful operational activities within the warehouse.\nDirects workflows on the floor of the warehouse, including packing, unloading, shipping and managing of delivery schedule.\nAnalyzes internal data and reports on productivity and efficiency to help determine when and where the warehouse is performing better or worse than expected.\nCoordinates with Warehouse Supervisors to align on warehouse and inventory priorities, in alignment with operational objectives.\nAssists in inbound and outbound workload forecasting through historical and trend analysis to determine how labor should be utilized.\nAssists in inventory management, and helps with stocking and shipping, as necessary.\n Qualifications\nBilingual (Spanish) preferred\n4+ years of experience preferred\nHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred\nExcellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills preferred\nProficient in AIMS preferred\nGood communication skills \nPrevious material handling equipment experience (MHE) preferred\nRadio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.\nMust be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice.\nComfort working with heights 20-30 feet regularly.\nWillingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse\nAdherence to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel toed safety shoes, and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS as well as QRA policies and procedures.\nAptitude to work in a fast paced distribution environment while meeting hourly established distribution quotas and performance standards\nSelf-motivated with ability to work in a team-oriented environment with limited supervision and an emphasis on customer satisfaction\nAbility to comprehend and accurately process paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures\nFamiliarity with Microsoft office products and general computer skills desired\nFlexibility/adaptabilitycoupled with good multi-tasking skills\nWhat is expected of you and others at this level\nApplies extensive knowledge and company policies to complete a wide range of assignments\nDemonstrates expert understanding of all levels of the job family and has thorough knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility\nTakes the lead in effectively applying new processes and skills in accomplishing assignments\nMay provide technical guidance and training to others\nMaintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications\nWorks on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issue\nMakes recommendation for new or revised processes and has a role on the implementation\nAdheres to all quality guidelines\nWorks with minimal degree of supervision\nHas latitude to make decisions in exceptional circumstances within established guidelines\nProvides guidance to less experienced team members\nMay have team leader responsibilities but does not formally supervise\nCardinal Health supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and background.
