Our technicians play an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to patients. This includes developing close relationships with patients in communities we serve and assisting the pharmacists in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medication.\nSchedule\nMonday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.\nResponsibilities\nMaintain professional working relationships at all times, with the pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.\nUnderstand that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change.\nBe available to the customer/patients at all times.\nMaintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with customers.\nMaintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.\nOrganizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions, preparing labels and calculating quantities.\nEnsures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nWorks with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nHigh School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.\nTennessee pharmacy technician license required.\nNational pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) preferred.\nSpecialty pharmacy experience preferred.\n2+ years with retail pharmacy technician related experience preferred.\n340B understanding and experience preferred.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong customer service skills.\nDemonstrated ability to use technology such as computers, smart phones and tablets.\nMay require vendor credentialing.\nWhat is expected of you and others at this level\nApplies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.\nReadily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area.\nMaintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications.\nWorks on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.\nWorks within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.\nAdheres to all quality guidelines.\nWorks under moderate degree of supervision.\nWork typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor.\nRefers complex unusual problems to supervisor.\nAnticipated hourly range: $19.70 per hour - $25.29 per hour.\nBonus eligible: No\nBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.\nMedical, dental and vision coverage\nPaid time off plan\nHealth savings account (HSA)\n401k savings plan\nAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPay\nFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)\nShort- and long-term disability coverage\nWork-Life resources\nPaid parental leave\nHealthy lifestyle programs\nApplication window anticipated to close: 10/19/2026 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.\nThe hourly range listed is an estimate.
