Must be available to work overtime as necessary due to customer needs.\n What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health\nWarehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.\nJob Summary\nThe primary purpose of the Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations is to support the Warehouse Supervisor through either inbound or outbound management of the warehouse floor and to facilitate effective warehouse operations through direction of warehouse staff, in accordance with operational priorities. In addition, this job assists in coordination of receipt of shipments and scheduling of incoming trucks, as well as making internal appointments. This job also delegates work among the warehouse staff and produces reports on workforce productivity and quality. The Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations also communicates with customers outside the warehouse to communicate disruptions, provide updates on delivery timeframes and ensure customer satisfaction.\nResponsibilities:\nLeading a team of 10-15 Warehouse Associates\nTraining new employees on company and departmental procedures as appropriate\nMeasuring safety, productivity, and quality standards and ensuring they are met\nCoordinating housekeeping, inventory control, and complying with all QRA and safety requirement\nSupporting employees in the distribution center in all functions, including: Unloading trucks by hand and with the use of material handling equipment, Accurately breaking down and stocking freight in accordance with QRA standards and local procedures, Order processing (accurately picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, and loading products)\nLeading team meetings\nSolving minor issues\nWorking in production as needed using an order picker, forklift or other devices\nQualifications:\nExcellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills\n2-4 years experience in a warehouse/distribution environment preferred\nProficient in Microsoft office, Excel knowledge preferred\nGreat communication skills (bi-lingual is a plus!)\nPrior knowledge working with a WMS system\nPrevious experience leading a team and sharing feedback with employees\nAbility to operate warehouse equipment (PIT preferred)\nFlexible schedule\nWhat is expected of you and others at this level:\nApplies extensive knowledge and company policies to complete a wide range of assignments\nDemonstrates expert understanding of all levels of the job family and has thorough knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility\nTakes the lead in effectively applying new processes and skills in accomplishing assignments\nMay provide technical guidance and training to others\nMaintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications\nWorks on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issue\nMakes recommendation for new or revised processes and has a role on the implementation\nAdheres to all quality guidelines\nWorks with minimal degree of supervision.
