We use our advanced skills and technology to assess, diagnose, and treat general and complex cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, heart valve disease, arrhythmia, and coronary artery disease.\nAbout the Job\nThe Cardiology Diagnostic Testing Services serves as the operational leader for CSNE's diagnostic testing departments under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager. This position is a working Lead role and requires patient care within the discipline of the Lead. This position also coordinates daily operations, staffing, workflow management, patient access, quality initiatives, and performance improvement activities across cardiovascular diagnostic testing services. The Diagnostic Testing Services Lead acts as the primary resource for diagnostic testing staff and collaborates closely with providers, practice leadership, and hospital partners to ensure efficient operations, regulatory compliance, exceptional patient care, and achievement of organizational goals. The Lead is responsible for supervising daily activities, supporting staff development, monitoring operational performance, and implementing process improvements that align with CSNE's strategic and clinical objectives.\nWhat you’ll do:\nLeadership and Operations\nOversees the daily operations and optimization of all diagnostic testing services.\n\nServes as the first-line operational leader and resource for diagnostic testing personnel.Provides day-to-day guidance, support, and direction to staff.Escalates staffing, performance, and operational concerns to the Clinical Nurse Manager as appropriate.\n\nAssists the Clinical Nurse Manager with employee coaching, performance evaluations, corrective action plans, onboarding, and staff development.\n\nPromotes a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care.\n\nLeads departmental workflow optimization and process improvement initiatives, and makes recommendations to operational leadership for improved workflow and operational optimization.\n\nCoordinates staffing schedules and coverage plans to ensure operational efficiency and continuity of care.\n\nParticipates in strategic planning and implementation of new services, technologies, and operational initiatives.\n\nPatient Access and Service Excellence\nMonitors patient access to diagnostic testing services and implements improvements to reduce wait times.\n\nCollaborates with scheduling teams to optimize capacity utilization.\n\nSupports service recovery efforts and resolution of patient concerns.\n\nWorks collaboratively with providers to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes.\n\nStaffing and Workforce Management\nDevelops, optimizes, and maintains testing schedules and staffing assignments.\n\nCoordinates cross-training initiatives to improve operational flexibility and staff coverage.\n\nMonitors staffing utilization and recommends adjustments based on patient volume and operational needs.\n\nAssists with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, retention and performance review of diagnostic testing personnel.\n\nIdentifies educational and professional development opportunities for staff members.\n\nKeeps Managers and Directors apprised on staff morale and makes recommendations for improvements as needed that align with organizational goals and objectives.\n\nQuality and Regulatory Compliance\nParticipates in CSNE’s Radiation Safety Committee and partners with leadership and the RSO to adhere to regulatory standards.\n\nEnsures adherence to practice policies, clinical protocols, and applicable regulatory standards across diagnostic testing services departments\n\nAssists with preparation for accreditation surveys and audits.\n\nIdentifies opportunities to improve quality, safety, and operational performance.\n\nParticipates in quality improvement projects and performance monitoring activities.\n\nSupports accreditation, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance activities.\n\nMaterials, Equipment, and Inventory Management\nMaintains oversight of department inventory and supply levels across all diagnostic testing service lines.\n\nEnsures adequate stock of clinical, testing, and operational supplies necessary to support uninterrupted patient care and testing operations.\n\nMonitors inventory levels and coordinates ordering of departmental supplies, including but not limited to:\nDefinity® contrast agent\n\nJubilant Radiopharmaceuticals and related nuclear/PET supplies\n\nUltrasound supplies and accessories\n\nStress testing supplies and consumables\n\nECG electrodes and monitoring supplies\n\nContrast administration supplies\n\nOffice and patient care supplies utilized within diagnostic testing departments\n\nCollaborates with vendors, purchasing departments, pharmacies, and leadership to maintain appropriate inventory levels and cost controls.\n\nMonitors product expiration dates and ensures timely rotation and disposal of expired supplies in accordance with regulatory requirements.\n\nAssists with capital equipment planning, replacement recommendations, and vendor evaluations.\n\nCoordinates equipment maintenance schedules, service requests, and preventative maintenance activities.\n\nMaintains records related to inventory management, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance.\n\nIdentifies opportunities to reduce waste, improve inventory utilization, and optimize supply chain processes.\n\nParticipates in budgeting activities related to diagnostic testing equipment, supplies, and operational expenses.\n\nEnsures testing departments maintain readiness for daily operations through proactive management of supplies, equipment, and materials.\n\nPerformance Metrics and Reporting\nResponsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting departmental performance metrics including:\nSchedule utilization and optimization of patient access\n\nWait times for diagnostic testing\n\nReport turnaround times\n\nTests performed per technologist\n\nEquipment utilization\n\nPatient satisfaction metrics\n\nStaff productivity indicators\n\nQuality and accreditation indicators\n\nNo-show and cancellation rates\n\nCapacity and access trends\n\nAdditional Performance Measures\nDepartment supply availability maintained at target levels.\n\nMinimal testing disruptions due to inventory or supply shortages.\n\nCompliance with inventory management and expiration-date monitoring requirements.\n\nEffective management of departmental supply and operational expenses.\n\nEquipment uptime and preventative maintenance completion rates.\n\nWhat you’ll need:\nRequired Qualifications:\nAssociate degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.\n\nMinimum of three (3) years of experience in cardiovascular diagnostic testing.\n\nMinimum of one (1) year of leadership, supervisory, or lead experience.\n\nStrong understanding of cardiovascular diagnostic testing workflows and patient care processes.\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and solve operational challenges.\n\nProficiency with electronic health records and scheduling systems.\n\nAbility to work in a clinical office and diagnostic testing environment\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Cardiovascular Technology, Nursing, or related field.\n\nCredentialed in a cardiovascular diagnostic specialty.\n\nExperience in a multi-site physician practice environment.\n\nAdditional
