You will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating heart and blood vessel conditions, using sophisticated imaging technologies to provide essential insights that guide patient care. You will report directly to the supervising Physician.\nWhat you’ll do:\nWorks collaboratively with the entire CT team of physicians, managers, nurses, and technologists.\n\nPerforms cardiac CT imaging\n\nPerforms body CT imaging if needed\n\nPerforms CT examinations according to established operating clinical protocols and techniques to produce images if high quality.\n\nSets the appropriate scanning parameters on equipment such as milliamperage, exposure time, slice thickness, cradle increment, orientation, scan field of view, etc.\n\nProvides CT images to physician through use of PACS, and/or other specialized interpretation software and enters patients in Athena EMR.\n\nAnalyzes patient's medical records and interviews patient to obtain relevant history as necessary.\n\nExplains and properly positions patient for examination causing least discomfort or distress. If necessary, uses immobilization apparatus to maintain required position.\n\nPerforms daily quality control testing on CT system, ensures all equipment is adequately maintained and in working order, performs preventative maintenance, and reports equipment failures immediately to supervisor.\n\nObtains IV access for administration of contrast media for CT enhancement in accordance with department policy and physician order.\n\nPractices infection control techniques and adheres to radiology safety guidelines.\n\nProvides CT services promptly, efficiently, safely, and cost effectively.\n\nMaintains confidentiality of patients and employees.\n\nEducates the patient about the test.\n\nCommunicates with patients before the test regarding special instructions or scheduling issues.\n\nCompletes appropriate documents as required (logbooks, worksheets, screening forms, etc.).\n\nEnters patient data and completes appropriate documentation data into Athena EMR or other health information systems.\n\nWhat you’ll need:\nGraduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Computed Tomography\n\nCompleted formalized CT course, as part of or in addition to formal education\n\nRegistered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Computer Tomography\n\n[ARRT(CT)]\nExperience in Cardiac Computerized Tomography (CT) is preferred.\n\nActive Basic Life Support (BLS) certification\n\nAble to maintain continuing education credits as required by certifying body or society\n\nStrong preference for those with both cardiac CT and nuclear cardiology\n\nAbility to correctly identify cardiac imaging protocol in discussion with cardiologists\n\nWork Location:\nLynnwood, WA office located at 19020 33rd Ave W.\nAdditional Information\nMinimum rate of $65-$90 per hour, with consideration for a higher rate based on years of relevant experience, qualifications, and expertise.
