In this role, you will work directly with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to facilitate outstanding care for our patients. You will work out of the Londonderry, NH office and report directly to the Lead Medical Assistant.\nWhat you’ll do:\nInterview patients and document basic medical history\n\nUpdate and file medical records and insurance reports\n\nArrange hospital admissions and laboratory services\n\nCheck with patients and type up patients' charts\n\nAssist during medical examinations\n\nProduce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms\n\nHandle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records\n\nPrepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments\n\nProvide patient-centric service and care to all patients\n\nWork independently and collaboratively with the Lead Medical Assistant to serve as a seamless link between patients, practice staff, and physicians to ensure optimal experience for all patients and practice providers.\n\nAssist in addressing patient concerns and requests through patient triage, collecting pertinent information to escalate to the provider team as necessary\n\nPrepare charts for Cardiologist - Prepare chart sections in Athena EMR at least 24 hours before the visit with the following; but not limited to: Reason for visit, Patient medication reconciliation, current pharmacy information, lab test results, Imaging testing results.\n\nAny and all other pertinent medical information necessary for the care.\n\nExecute intake checklist [as defined by practice], perform trained documentation workflows in AthenaHealth EMR\n\nPerform and document in-clinic testing and imaging (e.g., EKGs, cardiac monitoring, ABI's)\n\nManage all aspects of patient prescription needs, including: placing orders, coordinating care with pharmacies, answering patient questions & managing renewal requests\n\nManage medication refills, prior authorizations, and appeals\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nWhat you’ll need:\nA minimum of 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in a healthcare office is required.\n\nEKG Certification is required.\n\nStrong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently\n\nExcellent communication (verbal and written), clinical and interpersonal skills.\n\nDemonstrates strong work ethic and reliability (i.e. attendance and punctuality)\n\nAbility to create and sustain meaningful patient experiences.\n\nThe ability to quickly resolve issues and think outside the box\n\nKnowledge of medical terminology.
