We deliver person-centred services across home care, residential care, community access and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).\nWhy join us?\nHybrid working, with 2 days per week in our Mulgrave Head Office\nBroad, hands-on Financial Accountant role\nStrong focus on financial reporting, compliance and controls\nOpportunity to improve finance processes and strengthen governance\nWe’re looking for a CA/CPA-qualified Financial Accountant with strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.\nReporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory compliance, audit support and financial controls.\nYou’ll also contribute to process and control improvements and provide support across key finance functions when required.\nIf you’re a technically strong accountant who enjoys financial reporting, compliance, controls and continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.\nAbout the Role\nPreparing journals, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, monthly financial reports, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger\nSupporting statutory reporting, tax compliance and external audit requirements\nMaintaining and strengthening financial controls, accounting processes and compliance\nIdentifying and resolving accounting, reconciliation and control issues\nDriving continuous improvement across financial reporting and finance processes\nProviding back-up across key finance functions, including payroll, billing, accounts payable and receivables, as required\nThis is an ideal opportunity for a CA/CPA-qualified Financial Accountant who is technically strong, hands-on and detail-focused, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance and controls.\nAbout You\nYou’re an experienced Financial Accountant with strong technical accounting skills and a focus on accuracy, compliance and financial control. You’re hands-on, detail-oriented and comfortable taking ownership of key financial accounting activities.\nYou’ll bring:\nStrong experience in financial reporting, month-end and year-end close and balance sheet reconciliations\nSound knowledge of accounting standards, statutory compliance and audit requirements\nStrong financial control and general ledger experience\nAbility to identify and resolve accounting, reconciliation and control issues\nStrong attention to detail with a proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach\nEffective communication and stakeholder management skills\nAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment\nA degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance and CPA or CA qualification are essential.
