The HR Hub will support the HR and payroll administration for multiple Glencore offices globally. We are making a huge change to the enhance the way we deliver HR and Payroll Services to our network of global marketing and corporate offices. These offices vary in size and host employees in their front, middle and back-office roles in the marketing and corporate functions at Glencore.\nThe HR Hub is based on a shared services model and provides a portfolio of services including Payroll Operations, and HR Services. The Payroll Operations Parter will work regionally delivering the payroll operations to a cluster of locations.\nPrimary Task & Key Responsibilities:\nOwn the end-to-end payroll process for countries in scope, acting as the accountable partner for payroll governance, compliance, operational controls, risk management, and the successful delivery of each payroll cycle.\n· Within the global payroll operating model, responsible for multiple payrolls operationally, which includes:\n· Ensuring that all relevant payroll related input is loaded to the outsourced service provider’s portal\n· Monitoring integration performance (payroll data from Workday to payroll services provider)\n· Adherence to the payroll processing calendar, e.g. ensuring input deadlines met\n· Validating payroll output, i.e. processing output from payroll services provider\n· Responding to queries on payroll input\n· Checking and approving final payroll outputs,\n· End of pay cycle requirements, including:\no Posting journals to SAP\no Ensuring pay slips are successfully integrated to Workday\no Forecasting funding requirements and responding to Accounting / Finance queries\no Monthly reports, quarterly and annual reports, as required\n· Payroll regulatory oversight, with guidance from Regional Leads and Payroll Lead and payroll services provider\n· Benefits regulatory oversight and implementation of mandatory occupational benefits, where applicable for country\n· Benefit enrolment and management, in so far as is relevant for accurate payroll processing,\n· Managing deductions and payments to various third parties, where applicable\n· Participating in Workday enhancement for the employee experience and for payroll operational efficiency\n· Maintaining local Standard Operating Procedures for countries in scope (adopting and championing Global Operating Model)\n· Payroll audits - responding to auditors’ requests for data\n· Responding to payroll enquiries from employees and stakeholders in a timely manner\nKey Relationships:\n· Payroll Service provider\n· Third parties, e.g. benefits providers\n· Managers and Leads\n· Employees\nQualifications:\n· Relevant certifications or tertiary qualifications\n· A tertiary degree is seen as beneficial\n· Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, for example MS Excel, etc.\nWork Experience & Skill Requirements:\n· Knowledge of Workday compensation and benefits\n· Experience of working with an outsourced payroll vendor is essential\n· Experience of working with different international payrolls is beneficial\n· Experience of monitoring the completion of payroll integrations\n· Advanced proficiency in both written and spoken English.\n· High skill level in analyzing payroll and other numerical data\n· Exceptional attention to detail, and ability to process / check payroll calculations\n· Ability to manage complex, ad-hoc solutions based on business need with a ‘fix-it’ mentality\n· Has meticulous attention to detail, with a keen sense of ownership and accountability\n· Experience of working within a fast-paced, corporate environment required\n· Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills\n· Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact well with team colleagues and stakeholders at all levels\n· Is comfortable working independently, cross-functional, across geographies in a dynamic environment\n· Has ability to self-manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines\n· Is committed to delivering exceptional service\n· Ability to communicate in other languages such as French or German is an added advantage.\nWho we are\nGlencore is one of the world’s largest global diversified natural resource companies and a major producer and marketer of more than 60 commodities.
