This role is part of a global shared services environment, responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external payroll vendors.\nKey Responsibilities:\n Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple APAC countries\nEnsure timely and accurate submission of payroll inputs to outsourced service providers.\nValidate payroll outputs and perform variance analysis and reconciliations.\nMonitor payroll integrations (e.g., Workday / SAP SuccessFactors) and resolve issues.\n Ensure compliance with country-specific statutory requirements (tax, social security, etc.).\nCoordinate and review statutory filings and payments.\nSupport payroll accounting activities, including GL postings, accruals, and funding.\nHandle month-end and year-end payroll activities, including reporting and audits.\nMaintain accurate payroll records, documentation, and audit trails.\nAct as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries and escalations.\nCollaborate with vendors to ensure SLA adherence and issue resolution.\nDrive process improvements and automation initiatives\nKey Stakeholders:\nPayroll Service Providers\nFinance & Accounting teams\nHR Business Partners and HR Operations\nExternal vendors (benefits providers, statutory bodies).\nEmployees across APAC regions.\nExperience & Skills:\nMinimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably supporting APAC countries.\nStrong knowledge of payroll processes in any three countries such as Australia, India, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam, Japan and Korea is highly beneficial.\nExperience working with outsourced payroll vendors.\nFamiliarity with Workday and/or SAP SuccessFactors.\nGood understanding of payroll accounting and reconciliations.\nStrong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).\nHigh attention to detail with strong ownership and accountability.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\nWhy Join Us:\nOpportunity to work in a global payroll environment.\nExposure to multi-country payroll operations.\nCollaborative and dynamic work culture.\nContinuous learning and process improvement focus.\nWho we are\nGlencore is one of the world’s largest global diversified natural resource companies and a major producer and marketer of more than 60 commodities.
